Can cerakote be applied over chrome?

Looking to replace the headlight assembly on my motorcycle - headlight housing in the size that I want is only available in a chrome finish.

 

I'd prefer it to be black.

 

Is it possible to get a black cerakote coating applied over chromed metal?

I don't know about cherakote but when I was doing autobody it was no problem to paint over chrome but it just needed to he sanded with a fine grit paper to scratch up the chrome to provide adhesion for the paint. I always wet sanded with 600 grit.

Cerakote can definitely go over chrome.  Just use someone professional.

Has to be blasted I'd imagine. I agree, have a pro do it.
