anyone know of local sellers? know of any used for sale? would prefer not to have to pay new pricing, but if there's local sellers, and i can get one to fit my 01 expedition, i'd be willing......

It seems a little hard to look for used one right now. I've been looking a used one around lately. I'm checking those 1-pc tonneau covers as well, the one that locks with the tail gate.

seeing as i'm having zero lluck finding a used truckvault, i found one called monster vault on amazon. made for underbed, but supposedly tough enough to mount in the suv....so for less than a grand, i've got one on the way. it should be here wed.

both the product and the company have good reviews on amazon. i'd have liked if someone local carried them so i could put hands on before buying.....but i can always return it too.

Just curious, do you guys have enough of a need for this to justify not having a fold down flat area in the back of your SUV?  I carry stuff way too often to get rid of that capability.  It seems like this really doesn't have much of a purpose unless you're carrying firearms in your vehicle, and leaving them in there unattended quite often.
