djg The trap range in Chester is a nice place and the people are very friendly. The range is right on Route 206, it takes a little getting used to with the cars going by. I visit Chester and Thunder Mountain to do some night shooting they are open until 10PM and the darker sky gives trap shooting a different challenge.

Both Thunder Mountain and Chester are open to the public, occasionally they get very busy. As I stated earlier the people at Chester are very nice and it's fairly easy to work in with a group. Some of the senior shooters are very knowledgable and will help you improve your score. Thunder Mountain gets a wider mix of people, there is a recreational park on the property so it gets crowded at times. Again if you get to know some of the groups that shoot there you can work into their rotation. Be ready they usually shoot at least 5 sets.
