I can't compare to recent prices. I bought all of my stuff in bulk a while ago.

 

The last time I bought factory .223 it was $3.19 a box.

 

When I started loading .308 Federal GM Match was $17 a box and my reload price was around $4/box of 20.

For me it works out like this.

 

Primer $.03

 

Powder $.07 I use 25 grains per bullet and there are 7000 grains per pound. Appx. cost per pound is $20.00

 

55grain FMJ Bullet $.08

 

Brass I consider free since I already own 1000's and I don't count my time.

 

So it cost's me .$.18 a round.
