  1. This guy has some really good (and sometimes funny) videos on using Baofeng GMRS/FRS UHF/VHF radios without the BS. https://www.youtube.com/@TheNotaRubicon
  2. ANJRPC and NJCFO is the reason we can realistically carry in NJ. Otherwise NJ's Carry Killer law would be in full effect and we would not be able to carry in our cars or on any private property without getting express permission first. FPC and GOA is the reason we can have pistol brace's on our Others again. Support the orgs that are fighting and winning for our 2a rights.
  3. Not just grips, but lasers sights in any form are legal.
  4. Seems like this is a Work In Progress. Like those sections are reminding them what else they need to add to the article. Still good info though, just better once that stuff is added. I think videos of people reviewing self defense and home invasion videos would also be helpful. Issue is most that are out there are not specific to NJ and its laws.
  5. NOAA Radio Frequencies https://www.weather.gov/nwr/county_coverage?State=NJ Channels: 1 = 162.550 Mhz 2 = 162.400 Mhz 3 = 162.475 Mhz 4 = 162.425 Mhz 5 = 162.450 Mhz 6 = 162.500 Mhz 7 = 162.525 Mhz 8 = 161.650 Mhz 9 = 161.775 Mhz 10 = 163.275 Mhz
  6. You can get a list of Frequencies used in your area on RadioReference.com: https://www.radioreference.com/db/browse/stid/34
  7. Can we move the list of Businesses that have no gun signs to this forum? I can never find it when I need it.
  8. I happened to watch a SlavGuns YT video and you were wearing a njgunforums.com t-shirt.
  9. He gets hung up on non PTC holders can get charged with more crimes if they commit a crime. I'm ok with that, otherwise whats the point of going through the process of getting a PTC (training + education). It contains 2 restrictions that have already been determined to be unconstitutional by other states. 1) Not being able to carry in religous places (NY tried it and got shot down) 2) Requiring express permission to carry on private property (NJ tried it and got shot down). Also states that if you carry where there are no gun signs, you are only guilty of tresspassing and not a gun crime.
  10. What is the location? Park, racetrack, school grounds, playground, sporting event location, hospital, etc?
  11. Anyone care to post their CHIRP files for programming the radios?
  12. Pretty much the only group fighting for our rights on this issue ANJRPC. Check out the "Which org to support to fight for our 2A Rights in NJ" thread:
  13. Difference between FRS, GMRS, MURS, PLMRS, ARS frequency bands. https://baofengtech.com/which-two-way-radio-service-is-right-for-you
  14. Assuming someone has a programmable radio (think Baofeng), what frequencies should they program to listen to for info in Emergency or SHTF situations? What frequencies should they use to communicate if they have an emergency and need help from others? Ie. Are their any frequencies that are usually monitored? What frequency ranges would be good to communicate with friends/neighbors several miles away (but out of range of traditional GMRS/FRS)? Assume they all will get licenses.
  15. This dude just literally disappears in 30 seconds. Ghost mode, then gone. Volume up.
  16. FISA 702, and other legislation that bypasses our constitutional rights against illegal search and seizure are up for renewal, along with new legislation that goes even further. Look at what NY is doing with their new Thought Police program. That said, the threat of terrorist activity may not be enough to get these passed. They may have to allow something bad to happen in order to get what they want pushed through.
  17. A co-ordinated attack would be to take down our systems (911 dispatch, phone, internet, electrical grid, water, etc) and that would then could be a universal sign to start an actual physical attack on select locations. People panic, looting occurs, we don't trust anyone we don't know and then we turn on each other and do the rest of the work for them.
  18. Right. You are shooting and destroying the frame around the deadbolt. Not shooting the lock itself. Allows you to open the door with deadlock still extended is my understanding.
  19. That's a massive understatement.
  20. Genesse Ivonne Moreno was named by police as the active shooter who opened fire on February 11 inside Joel Osteen’s Houston, Texas, church with a long gun. That’s according to CNN, which reported that police named Moreno in a search warrant. Fox 10 Phoenix reported that Moreno has “identified as a female but has a criminal history in the name of Jeffrey Escalante.” Moreno was shot and killed at the scene by two officers working “extra employment” at the church. Finner said he believed they averted greater damage. “She had a long gun, and it could have been a lot worse,” he said. Finner said it’s not clear whether Moren or of the officers shot the child but added that he believes the suspect “put that baby in danger. I am going to put that blame on her." the suspect had “at least six prior arrests since 2005, including unlawful carrying of a weapon, which she pleaded guilty to; evading arrest; and assault on a public official, which was pleaded to a lesser charge.” Shooter had history of criminal charges and mental health problems CNN reported The shooter used a legally purchased AR-15 https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/texas-church-shooter-genesse-ivonne-moreno-had-palestine-sticker-on-rifle-police-say/ar-BB1ib8OM
  21. We used to go to Cancun every year, but stopped because of increase in gang crime. It used to be off limits to them so they didn't fuck with the government's revenue. We now go to Punta Cana. Similar travel time and expense.
  22. That same law also says that if you buy 2k or more rounds, you get a call from NJSP.
