I bought a new Taurus 38 for IDPA use. It jammed, locked up and spilt bullets so it was sent back. After they fixed it I have not had any issues. I'm happy with it now but I don't like having to send a new gun bact to the manufacturer. I don't know if I'd do it again.

I've been doing a lot of IDPA shoots the past year and I usually use my XD 45 for them. I've put a few thousand rounds through that gun between shoots and practice.

I sold my glock because my meaty hands got rubbed by the slide with each shot. The finger grooves worked well with my big hands. I found it to be reliable and accurate, simply not for me. I'll stick with mx XD.

What gunsmith did you use? All the ones I asked refused to do it, said I need to send the slide back to Springfield! I used John Torelli, Jersey Small Arms Gunsmithing in the Millville/Vineland area. I have used him for a great number of things and highly reccomend him.

WTF??? I find myself asking if this is a joke. For use after pointed sticks fail? They swapped from 20 pound paper to 10 pound paper to ensure penitration. What is the hope, that the bad guy will be frightened off by the pop made by the gun? Maybe you have to shoot for the eye.

I had a gunsmith install the sights on my XD while he was doing a trigger job.

Thanks, I now realize everything I have either sucks or is sub par. It is all up for sale and I will be investing in baseball bats. I'll trade you one bat per gun???

I had a dustcover mount for my SKS and it did not work well. A frond of mine did a foreword mount with an extended optic scope, that worked well.

I rotate my centerfire handguns to the safe next to the bed. With crime rates going up in the area I am considering bringing out the 12 ga pump.

I'd be interested depending on the location. Being from Cape May County puts me far from pretty much everything.

When you find a range that does that please let me know, I'm in even if I have to save for a year.

I went the past 2 years and had a great time. They run it around Halloween. This years shoot sold out, 100 shooters, in 16 minutes.

My first gin was a Benelli Nova 12 gauge. I do clay, skeet, 3 gun and hunt with it and I still love it.

The range is under water and the weather isn't going to cooperate so we are cancelling the shoot. See you next year.

We do not require new shooters to arrive early. Just let one of the safety officers know you are a new shooter and they will take some extra time explaining thongs to you. You need a strong side holster, a duel mag pouch, 3 magazines and about 50 rounds (you may want to bring 75 just so you have more then enough). If you have more magazines bring them. Any other questions?

This is a fun club level event. Our SO's will go over tac sequence and tac priority while explaining the course of fire. Knowing the rule book is not necessary for your first few shoots. The SO's will answer your questions and review rules. Come out, have fun and give it a try.

I'm not very experienced with uspsa. IDPA is based on plausable defensive situations using a concealed gun. The shooter engages targets based on the threat they pose. Cover and concealment are used when available. Guns are stock or close to stock (no race guns). New shooters are always welcome and our SO's are always ready to explain the rules and courses of fire. Come out and give it a try.
