Try anything ruger makes in a .40. Rugers are great guns, very solidly built and .40 isn't very expensive and it seems the easiest to find

Went to MEltzers in Garfield today to ask about that. Para ordnance 1911 for $650. I asked can you do $6 out the door. He said "no we don negotiate anymore". I said "I've purchased everyone of my guns here and tons of supples and ammo". He still wanted nothing to do with negotiating. I understand where they are coming from in these tough times but with that said I am done with that place.

That's pretty gnarly lookin. To bad the gun and ammo cost so much. As for my pick: Any 1911 I believe is the best fighting pistol. I've never fired a glock but have handled them and they don't feel like they are for me. The M9 is a nice piece but also just not for me: I'm a true .45 lover

The guy didnt seem to care about his dog that much. I mean if you shoot my dog I will be guilty of resisting arrest. He just kept casually walking.
