  1. [sarcasm]Now if only ammunition technology had changed in the 23 years since that report was written... or the 28 years since the passing of Elmer Keith...[/sarcasm]
  2. Survivorman was infinitely better. Glad to hear it's coming back. Dual Survival is pretty good IMHO, altho I'm slightly biased because I was a fan of both Dave Cantebury and Cody Lundin before the show came out.
  3. One of the better discussions on the topic I've run across:
  4. It may seem silly, but there's some decent info here: http://zombiehunters.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=14&sid=ab0fb8d0c2ad96dc671e7b59543ca7dd
  5. I guess I should've given BladeTech a call before assuming that I was out of luck since I was past the 30 day window. Is there a specific department/person I should contact? Thanks for taking the time to post and addressing our issues. It's great to see a company take the time to reach out to their customers like this
  6. The scratches aren't a big deal - in my case, they can probably be removed without too much effort. What I do mind is a holster that is so tight it's unusable
  7. I had the same problem with a "custom" SRB holster Blade-Tech did for a Beretta 92A1. Even with the retention screw removed, I can barely get the gun into the holster it's so tight... Ended up with a couple nice marks on both sides of the slide. At the time I was working 16 hour days and just didn't have time to focus on gun stuff and by the time I got around to even trying out the holster I had already passed the 30 day return period. So, the holster now sits in the bottom of my holster box... don't be like me... contact them and get it worked out
  8. Very cool setup, raz-0. Thanks for the pix
  9. Cell phone pic is fine mostly trying to get an idea of barrel length in relation to extension length on a 930.
  10. raz-0 - any chance we can get a pic of your setup?
  11. The closest is probably the Primary Arms Micro Dot. https://www.primarya...ase_p/md-06.htm But, based on the other sights you have listed, it's not exactly in the same category. The Trijicon RMR is probably the lightest of all them at under 2 oz: http://www.trijicon....uct1.php?id=RMR A corresponding mount (ADM, etc) will add about 2.5-3oz.
  12. It never snows where you CCW? I only ask, because, aside from the clay, mud, various pebbles, etc etc etc that can render a Serpa inoperable, snow can apparently have the same affect... till the snow melts or becomes dislodged of course. Anyway.. we all make our choices for various reasons. Not really knocking anyone for their choice. Just trying to understand the infatuation people have with these holsters
  13. This is the part I have a problem with - "the tone". He's "technically" right about the "chamber" thing... but, there's no reason to be a d0uchenozzle about it. Oh well.. par for the course, I guess.
  14. Out of curiosity... did he tell you to put the flag in the chamber and leave it at that? or did he make a big deal out of it and talk down to you?
  15. http://www.claytarge...m/fivestand.php Where did you see the electric throwers, Frank? Out on the shotgun field? Or were they available for rent or something? I know they're supposedly renting throwers now, but I assumed that meant the hand pull throwers.
  16. It's certainly something that seems to show up mostly in training situations that are conducted in sandy, gravely, or snowy areas and probably not something that has a high probability of happening in a typical cement/blacktop CCW environment. Still, something to be aware of. I don't think anyone anticipates those types of situations...
  17. Scars on frames add character to the frame... My frames have lots of character

  21. Shortly after getting my first handguns, the wife and I took a private First Steps Pistol class with Anthony from GFH. It was money very well spent!
