I went with the 20' over the 29" for the maneuverability. I kind of think I should of went with the 29" due to the velocity loss. So much powder needs more time to burn. I think my MV is somewhere around 2450 as compared to somewhere around 2700 with a 29" barrel. More speed is getting more energy downrange, not to mention Id be getting the muzzle blast 9inches farher away from me.

Ive taken a few of their classes and every one of them is structured to break down all disciplines from the ground up. JDs speeches at the end of the classes are some of the most motivational and powerful presentations I have ever witnessed.

Id say yes, playing the human shield without armor or a way to actually stop the shooter or fight back makes you a dumbass. Once the shooter kills you he will kill the person you are shielding. Granbys post states teachers who want to carry and are trained should be allowed to. Its the teachers choice to not want to defend themselves or students. Standing in the way of a bullet may be noble but still makes you a dumbass and doesn't save anyone in the end. I did not see anyone say people who don't want to carry a gun are dumbass', just the ones who think standing in line to be killed will actually stop the shooter from killing children are.

Ive got the NoN LE model (700009K-A5) and the sights are photoluminescent and have a slant shape to them. Looking at this link of the LE version shows clearly different sights then mine. They have a few classes coming up in March too, I think jeff is just looking to zero in on the days. Hey guys just talked to Jeff the owner, everyday price is $25 for an hour plus $15 to share the port with a buddy. He offered us $20 for an hour of range time and free port sharing for the meet up night from 5:00-9:00pm. This will be in one of the 25yd handgun ranges. He has Ammo for sale but didn’t ask as to which calibers he has stocked yet so bring your own if it’s something odd. He just has the “no steel cased” rule. The range we are on is handgun, .22lr rifle, or pistol caliber Carbine rated.

@Ray Ray getting his dream off the ground for the last year has kept him extremely busy. I’m hoping the NJGF meet up will introduce the crew to a new place to shoot, as well as introduce him to the NJGF crew. The store is still only partially open and the bugs are still being worked out, so I’m sure getting shooters in who will give valuable input will be a good learning experience. @Krdshrk Thursday next week will work for me, I’ll approach him with the idea and see what he will work out for us.

Hey guys, I’m thinking about asking the owner at Longshot to let us do a NJGF meet up at his Range. I figured right now would be a perfect time since he just opened. The way he is set up is 3 different sets of ports. Each set is in its own room. 6 ports on the 50yd Rifle Range, 7 ports each at the 25yd handgun Range. I can ask if he can set aside a room for us and see if we can make some kind of deal, is anyone interested? It would probably be easier to talk him into it for a weeknight. Range is on County Ave in Secaucus.

It’s a nice place, set up is great with 6 ports in the 50yd range and 7 ports in each of the 25yd ranges (2ranges of 25yds) so the activity going on around you is pretty limited.
