  1. Now guess who will be determining and defining the term " Mentally ill" like I said before expect this to happen to a lot of existing gun owners. If you have every been on SSRI's espically in the last 5-10 years I would follow this very closely and get a great 2A laywer on retainer.
  2. For restricted weapons there was a 7 day waiting period in place, and non restricted are instant check. Well non restricted you can still get instant checked and walk out the same day. On restricted the current wait is over 90 day's. My brother has been waiting for an AK almost 3 months and still cannot get it. His FFL has at least 150 guns he is sitting on that all have been paid for waiting for the MSP to complete. They told him today that they are working 21 hours a day to complete back ground checked but we all know that is BS.
  3. MD already has restricted and non restricted firearms. both can be owned however restricted covers all handguns and assault style rifles. Come October they will all be banned, and you will have to have all registered. If you are moving there after October 1st of this year I believe you will not be able to own all of these weapons except for your hand guns, they will need to be registered and you may have to get a ffl with a manufacturing license to do a shell casing test on each one for the state police records. Any assault rifles in almost any configuration will be deemed illegal. If you go there before October and establish residency you will have to register all your restricted weapons come October and I believe there is a tax for each one. The same shell case test may need to be done either way. Both the new and old laws of MD are very confusing, FFL's that deal with handguns have to have 2 state licenses one for restricted and one for non restricted right now. Their laws are actually more confusing then NJ. You best bet is to Joni the MD shooters forum and get your information there.
  4. Your going from horrible to even more horrible come October. Goc O'Mally is a POS when it comes to just about everything firearms and taxes fall in that category. My brother is a Police officer in MD he turned his badge in today and is leaving the state for the 2 reasons mentioned above.
  5. To the OP regarding importing, it's not going to happen even if you contact a US importer. Surplus rifles have specific regulations regarding importation and have to typically be stored in a 3rd party country for a specific amount of years before coming in. If this were possible we would be bringing in the $200.00 non refurb Russians from Canada every day along with $99.00 surplus ammunition tins. Your wife is more likely going to end up on next seasons Locked up abroad if she tries to do this any of the ways mentioned above.
  6. Ted The Albanian sks's are often the best buy on gun broker even now, they are quite often never thought about and passed over for Russian, Yugo and Chinese. The last 4 months we have been tracking all SKS sales on Survivors sks boards and the Albanians average $350.00 to $425.00 for good to very good condition rifles. They get very little thought and respect in the SKS world. With a bit of time and digging you can defiantly still get one on the cheap even cheaper then they were before all the gun BS.
  7. They had less then 10 in stock to start with, it's an excellent upper for a great price.
  8. Just met up with Tallday this morning to complete a transaction great guy to deal with.
  9. Yes you can, however you cannot always do the other, Some rifles that are chambered in Nato cannot handle .308.
  10. Where is an Allagator when you need one in NJ?
  11. Anything that was previously fixed can be unfixed with the exception of some mag's. It all just depends how skilled you are with the proper tools or how much you really want you spend getting it undone.
  12. I do not think it's impossible and I dont think you are going to be the only victim of this going forward. Exactly what is happenning to you is what the Federal Government wants to do with everything through Obama care. Mix that in with what they consider "Common sense gun laws" and the day you may have put that pill in your mouth for your childhood ADHD may end up sealing your fate depending on who determins who can and cannot have firearms.
  13. Who was the importer on that rifle? It would either have to be a Farmers Friend, or Cowboy's Companion one of which was Paratrooper length. They were imported by Navy arms where they added the scope mount, scope and Bi pod on the Farmers friends. The scope and mount are not standard military, the only country that produced a official Sniper or scoped SKS was Yugoslavia. In any event if it was imported by Navy Arms then you found a rare rifle it's worth some extra coin in the SKS world if not then it's still a nice SKS. They are an addiction for me 1 turned into 2 then into way too many, I have now moved onto Mausers and Mosins.
  14. During Sandy my tree fell over onto the neighbors inbound pool, the fence was trashed and I was worried it went through the pool cover and damaged their liner. My adjuster came out and said that it is all on them since the tree came down in the Hurricane and not on its own on a warm summer day. I felt like a d-bag but just to be safe asked them to call their adjuster to come out. I had the tree removed and also made sure they removed it from the neighbors side too which I was not responsible to do either. Lucky there was no damage to the pool or cover so I paid to replace their fence while I had mine done. Sucks that your neighbor isn't taking any responsibility but technically they don't have too because their INS wont cover it.
  15. Way to pricy for reloads. I picked up all of this for under $300.00 last Sunday from AIM. 200 rounds Aguila 124gr 9mm 200 rounds Aguila 230gr .45acp 200 rounds Ksap 7.62x39 440 rounds of 7.62x54R Russian. Total:$293.45 With shipping:$322.64 Gotta have patients but the good deals are out there.
  16. I actually am from Brooklyn as were my parents, there is mafia or organized crime but it's no where near what it used to be. Areas like Bay ridge are now multi national neighborhoods it is more Russian then anything else there now running things, same goes with Brighten beach and Bensonhurst. Staten Island still has things there but the hay day of the Don's is over. I got a guy who is a slime ball that I work with on Friday, Sat, Sun he runs illegal poker games from one of his rental properties in LI and Brooklyn something he said he would have never been able to do 15 years ago. Even Gotti himself said the Federal Government will be withing within 20 years that they left the Italian Mafia alone because the who that will move in after they are gone is going to be much worse since it will all be international crime syndicates from Russia, China, and South America and that's exactly what we got. Human trafficking, Prostitution, drugs, and weapons. Small world too My brother is actually a Federal Agent now along with my Cousin they just don't work for the FBI. Back too the subject, at hand I hold the local PD, and Federal Government personally responsible for all of this. Once Regan shut down the issues with Miami, LA then blew up and everyone turned a blind eye too it forgetting how Miami turned into a complete cesspool. We pay taxes for specific things and one is to protect America and the American way of life, It appears that they have forgotten this or they are just really bad at it as we have seen with the antics of the Boston Bombings. Throwing money at this issue will not resolve anymore then ignoring it. Addressing it head on will be the only way and let's face it no one wants to announce a war on Black or Brown street gangs it's just bad press for any politician who would do that. So they leave it up to the local PD's to deal with it and when they do with extreme force like it should be they get labeled racist and corrupt like the LAPD.
  17. These must have been the ones they had for 2 or 3 years that were in the $550.00 range. They were all repros assembled by century using repro scopes and mounts. Many of the mounts were aluminum and cracked after shooing less then 20 rounds, all the ones I have seen by them were round high wall. To my knowledge the HEX receiver was never used to make PU snipers by Russia. The high walled round receiver was made specifically in order to hold the side mount for the PU scope from 1942 and on. There were Hex PE snipers but they were phased out in the early 40's.
  18. AIM only sells their "Shooter grade" 91/30s for $89.00 for the last year, they just had them in about 10 days ago. My brother picked up 2 with his C&R. They are not in as good as shape as the ones listed now, metal has more wear, bores are dark , 90% of them are counterbored and stocks or hand guards maybe cracked. There are no returns on those. All other variations are $119.0 plus. I picked up a Dragoon M91 at Vally Forge about 4 years ago and they were $120.00 at the time. Prices have only gone up since and will continue too as less are being imported every year.
  19. I have never come across a reproduction Hex sniper before in my travels, I have seen one True PE Hex sniper from mid 1930's with correct scope and mount which was based off the German Zeiss platform. No import stamp on the barrel or receiver. A mere $6800.00 3 years ago.
  20. That's why they need to be declared as a terrorist organizations. However the Federal Government also has law's like the RICO act which allows them to prosecute anyone known to be in a organization for the crime that only 1 member may have committed, this is how the Italian Mafia was halted in their tracks and all the Boss's and under bosses were arrested tried and incarcerated. Most did not commit the crimes they were charged for but it was linked to because they were directly in charge or members of a criminal organization. It also gives harsher penalties for a crimes committed by a member of a criminal organization then it would a common crook who is non affiliated. So yes it can and has happened, they just have not screwed with or taken enough from the federal government like the Mafia did with billions of tax dollars, control of the ports and union workers.
  21. The rifle is in excellent shape however it appears to be a reproduction sniper.
  22. Nazi stamped styer ammo, prices suck it's more of a collectable thing these days. https://www.buymilsurp.com/8x56r-ammo-steyr-m95-and-m9534-10-rds-nazi-marked-p-3190.html
  23. Tula is fine enough for range time if you are going to carry or home defense with this then get something more reliable. Also know that some .380 pistols do NOT chamber and feed hollow point ammunition very well and tend to be ammo sensitive like the PPK's.
