  1. Thanks! Great transaction. Great item and great price.
  2. Had similar findings in cabelas in CT. NO pistol ammo whatsoever. One box of shotshell primers and no powder. I actually scored .223 on my last trip at $7.99 a box of 20. Cash registers were discounting them a buck each when you bought 5 boxes. Not sure if it was a old rebate incentive still active or a glitch. Was able to grab another 5 with my co-worker.
  3. I think as long as you have rental agreement, that is your domain for the time being and can legally posses a firearm. Better check with the local fuzz before your trip.
  4. Lol. I think your right on that one, too.
  5. I hear you. I really want to like the place. Please pass on what you've read here. Maybe even suggest he comes on here to read some of the negative feedback that's his establishment is receiving.
  6. Ramsey Outdoor right up the street in Succasuanna.
  7. I agree with OP. Was there last week. Wouldn't sell me ammo because I wasn't a member even though non-member prices were being displayed. After I question it, he then offers me different ammo almost twice the posted price. Le Douche.
  8. I have seen about 5 bulbs go falling at the Hole. Not quite sure they are from friendly fire but from vibrations knocking them loose. Happens way too often there. One time one of the idiots working there tried to charge the guy $300 for a new bulb. The RO seemed confused and looked around for a few moments and just pointed at some guy "YOU". "You shot the bulb"!
  9. Yes, I dealt with an individual that sold on a mail order basis. I've also been on the road and GPS took me to someone's house that was also called Big Red's Guns N' Ammo. As long as ATF says your stock is secure, you should be legit. Think about blocking off a corner of your basement with cinder blocks and add a safe door. A relative did this as a walk in safe. He filled the blocks with quickcrete and some sort of fibers. Imagine 8" thick Durock. With the easy part out of the way, next is the red tape and legalities.
  10. Also, it poses a liability risk. If you say no dog, and your Pitbull attacks someone, Insurance company will go after you for the costs of any settlement that they pay out. In my line of work, we get about 3 substantial dog bites a year to my employees. So far, ALL have been pit bulls and this is no coincidence. They are a known risk and you will pay for the coverage. Also, be wary of the fine print. Good luck.
  11. I believe the ATF requirements for storing the ammo exceeded the normal safety and security functions of a normal house. Don't totally remember but when I got my C&R, the agent said local PDs won't allow it. Unless you plan on renting out a storefront...then I'll be a customer.
  12. True dat. A REAL headache. Already looked into this.
  13. Stopped in again. Completely lucked out...They had .223. Limit of 5 boxes of PMC per person @ $8.99 each. Picked up 10 boxes, had a co-worker come in with me. The employee was stocking the shelf with three cases as I came in. I hit the bathroom and before we left, a customer I was talking to in line said he grabbed the last 5 boxes and had been waiting for 4 hours in the store for them to open the boxes. Pretty crazy. Wondering when all this will blow over.
  14. Bullet Hole in Belleville usually has them in stock. Give them a call.
  15. Great addition but as said before...lets not entertain the idea, some left speak of doing this.
  16. I have dealt with the same thing back when I lived in Hackensack. Each time, every time, something happened with a reference letter. I told the chief back then it seemed too much of a coincidence. Either they are completely incompetent and cannot complete simple paperwork or this is a stalling technique to either give them more time or discourage you from moving forward.
  17. Welcome! Live in Randolph here. I would much rather deal with a small shop than a larger one. I am starting to abhor even the newest range on the block as they are falling into the same circle as some big box dot coms and retailers. Rude sarcastic staff, extremely overpriced items and selective dealing is the norm.
  18. That M44 is a cannon! Usually it is the loudest thing in the range. Love mine...enjoy it!
  19. Reminds me of an old advert from the 80's I found. That Colt 6920 is nice.
  20. Kinda jumping in on this one. Had a dealer on GB say he never sees the firearms and a message about the mags would never reach the factory. Would it be acceptable to just leave the mags with the FFL when you do the transfer?
  21. Just hit it up on my way back. All 30 rd mags taken off the shelves ( or sold ). I actually found two and gave them to an employee who seemed bewildered that I found them behind ammo. 22lr in stock. 100 round CCI LR HP mini mags at $7.99 each. Limit one per person. I had my co-worker buy one with me. I hit up RTSP on my way home because its been a while since I was there last. Wouldn't sell me 223 because I wasn't a member even though a non-member price is listed on the flat panel TV so they offered me 5.56 at $19.00 a box of 20. I also checked out some of their accessories. I honestly couldn't believe how expensive they were. I used my scanner app to compare prices. Some of their optics were more than double the price than available online. Nice group of people, but I'm over them.
