  1. BUMP ... press this bad mo fo right to the top, no one has a new .22LR pic? C'mon now! Cough up the rimfire golden goodness!
  2. anyone find these in a store, rather than the Internet? I'd be interested but I want to actually feel/see the dealy with these bfore buying...
  3. ken I couldn't agree more or said it better myself... I purposely sought a .22LR as my first longgun, for survival in case SHTF and also pleasure plinking and skill building, and I am sorry to insult some but I DO NOT like to buy what all the hapless bleating lambs seem to buy and did NOT want a 10/22 , what wasn't an option, So when I found the 597 at Dick's, it was OD green, had a scope from the box, and was almost an exact, albeit smaller copy, the Rem 700.... so I took a chance! Figured what the heck, it's $200, how bad can it be, it's a REMINGTON right? Well I love it. I had to have the scope "re-boresighted" after they claimed it factory sighted, ( it wasn't), than Dick's counter jockey slash Fratboy who's studying to become a Gunsmith, while in college? And couldn't do it right... after I took it elsewhere, and offered to pay a store to sight it in for me, it shoots like a charm... One thing I notice is it ABSOLUTELY HATES Remington Golden Bullet packs. Like, one shot, one waste, one shot, one waste. Thunderbolts are slightly better. But it really hates Remington ammo, wierd. My next project, I'm gonna try to camo it... I am very interested in tips etc. I thought i might buy 4 cans of spray paint and see what happened, Tiger-style, anyone got any info to feed me? Thanks Scrap
  4. I am tacticooler than you, $0n. It rubs the lotion on its skin.
  5. I actually have several questions about this topic. One is, everyone warns me not to dry fire any of my .22LR's... I get that. But a gun shop dooshdaddy grandad told me its fine to just leave em cocked.... Just put em away cocked is fine... I was like, wont that harm the internals etc. ? Leaving it all tensioned etc.? He's like naw, no problems t'all.. .What's the truth? Also someone told me that on the 15-22 it's okay to pull back the charging handle a little bit, THEN dry fire, and it's all good and fine... but I don't want to do it until I know that's truthful... so ... what's the truth? Lastly, anyone with info on a Rem 597 (NOT the tacticool ones, the one that looks like a rifle dammit) ... It has a bolt hold open BUT ONLY when an empty magazine is inserted, so is it okay to pull back the handle for inspecting, cleaning.etc ... also okay to release it fully ? Thanks! (One last question... anyone have a problem leaving .22LR mags loaded? I am quite certain leaving say a Glock magazine loaded is all fine, but what about .22LR mags?)
  6. I warn you: If you are dooshy I will proclaim you a dooshdaddy for all to behold. Also plz understand I am always right never wrong and very very funny. And most importantly, I am tacticooler than you $on! Like blaaaw tadow! Witcha broke a$$!
  7. Ok so I didn't mean to shorten it to cheat the law etc... I mean to go from 24" to 18.5" , i.e. Turkey to Tactical?
  8. Is it possible to have a barrel reduced in length? If so, how/where/how much do you think this is done/at what cost/where/ etc? I am quite interested in this. (Unless someone knows someone who makes custom barrels? At a decent price?) Thanks
  9. Geez dooshes I was just relaying a light story regarding my experience with Pardner Pumps. Next time you Want to talk about cheap knockoff guns I'll keep quiet
  10. One TWO occasions I have heard the same dooshdaddy gunshop fly , hanging out at the shop watching ppl like me buy guns he can't afford and then criticize them and me, refer to his shotgun at home as his "Partner Pump..." As In, "Ahhh you gettin one dem der I-talian scatterguns.... I like my partner pump toooo!" "Oh you have a NEF Pardner? Yeah I want a Benelli... heard its the best..." "Naw my partner pump is a Winchester/Ithaca/etc. .... He's mah partner pump! You gettin an I-talin apartner pump huh?" "No I'm not getting a Pardner, by NEF, I'm getting a Benelli Supernova pump to go with my Mossberg 930 SPX semi..." "Alrighty damnit yas little whippersnapper....Dem der partners youz is getting is one brand, my partner pump is a different! Same difference, same scattergun, same ! My partner's a pump just like yours fancy schmancy expensive dem der whippersnapr!!" I was really sincerely expecting the whole "I was A GREEN BERR-ET IN SOG, SPECIAL OPS GROUP, IN VIE-ET-NAAM! AND A SNIPER AND CHAIRMAN OF JOINT CHEEFS!"
  11. lunker very nice pieces!!! I am impressed and jealous.
  12. Thanks for all the replies, I appreciate it. I will just keep them... Thanks for the info tho.
  13. I got into a "discussion" with some worker-dooshes at a range across the river in PA. Basically, When I got my initial FID/Permit to purchase I got my 1 handgun and had a plan for lots of longguns, and I sort of bought a lot of longguns instead of a few expensive ones. If that makes any sense. I decided I don't really NEED a bunch of what I have, I mean shoot, I have 5 or 6 longguns sitting unfired..So I talked to someone over the phone, brought some stuff down to "trade in" on a bigger caliber, nicer longgun. I had/have been looking for an AR-15/AR-10/AK/bolt action/etc --- Basically I bought a bunch of boomsticks and real nice .22LR's and I don't have a battlerifle. Needless to say what was told to me on the phone was NOT what they actually offered me when I got there... Like, they lied through their teeth over the phone.... My questions are , just because the gun has been purchased, does that make it any less "new" or "unfired" etc... because these dudes insisted they were as "used" as a 5 year old /50000 rd gun... I was like, sure, they've been PURCHASED, and that might make them "used" but you can still honestly say that they're UNFIRED, and never ever USED, maybe not like legally NIB but still actually New, In Box, Unfired, etc. Granted, would you give me the $500 / $500 / $200 for the three I brought that I paid, surely not, you wouldn't make any money... But when you say $200 / 100 / 100 to me thats just redonkulous. It's not like I'm PAWNING them, I'm trading for something at your shop! And let the record reflect this was all over a $1000 rifle... They said, yeah, you got those three you describe, we have x-rifle, we can make it work for an even swap, c'mon down. I get there and all the sudden, said $1000 rifle is now worth WAAAAAY more than the $1000 price tag , and my stuff is old and busted, sorry. I'm like , bullsheeeit. Or am I completely wrong here? oh and sorry it was my Benelli Supernova (24" SteadyGrip neverfired NEW) / S&W M&P 15-22 (neverfired NEW) / Remington 597 (which has been fired, maybe a couple magazines worth on ONE trip to the range, maybe 8 mags worth, and many of them damn Rem bulkpacks didn't even fire, so its damn near new, with scope, etc)
  14. Semi - 0T -- until very recently I was highranking in the booze biz... LSS last summer I made sure one of my guys gave a discount to a clean cut retired mil looking gentleman wearing an all black bdu-style uniform and wearing a niceness belt with a hammer-type black semi pistol. He thanks me, I tell him as the son of a high ranking career cop capt it's my pleasure , what do you do? LMFAO , but he's like , I'm a guard for a 7 - 11 , they gave me a job, sent me to a short training class, and applied me for a weapon. So I guard the 7 11 hot dog area, making sure no one takes too many mustard or ketchup packs , abuses the " PUSH FOR FREE CHILL / PUSH FOR FREE CHEESE " buttons , or wastes the frsh condiments like chopped onions, pickles, relish, etc. He was 1000% serious.

    Ruger Mini 14 in 223

I've not really ever understood the Mini-14... what's its deal? it's a mini, semiautomatic M-14? gotta be more to it than that?
  16. May, not april. =) That's why you're the boss, homey. Straight cash, big bossman... LOL. I am not so smrt. S M R T... Not so smrt... S M R T
  17. Dem hippies always be suckin down dat hippie lettuce dey be smokin on. Rascals dey is.
  18. I agree! on both counts!!! but it would be excellent training for the SOCOM boys! Do it like the King in Braveheart... end all Hajiiness. Alive, if possible... Dead, just as good. Attempt to avoid slaying all the women and children hajis. But if they're practicing hajiis, they need to become smoked sausage haji examples. Would't want all our bullets to become retrograde. Smokecheck those hajji dooshdaddys! Sonic Boom!!!!!
  19. WELL??!! Bump this bad boy .... send this puppy right back to the top... RANGE REPORT?! Who went who shot what whas it exactly like i descrbied and more?!?!?! Spill your guts gents!
  20. Right ... I have two "world-class" shotguns, a bunch of pretty nice to very nice 22LR rifles, and a G23 in 40S&W. Ideally if I HAD TO ENGAGE an enemy in my home in an actual "tactical" home defense situation I'd blow him away with 00 buck. I'd feel absolutely fine using my G23 in .40 as well, and hopefully would have both on me. 15-22? If I had to i would definitely, and i'd probably go through 10-shot mag w/o hesitation. Rem 597? Same deal. Now my Bolt Action, Savage, Mark II 'sniper' rifle in .22LR? I'd shoot it at bad guy definitely but would NOT be anything but the last gun I picked from my "portfolio" but hey, you do what you have to do, when you have to do it, no? Damn sure ain't gonna say "Ohhhh bad guy you win I'd only have my .22 savage handy, plz help your self to my sheeeit, btw there's booze over --------> there!!"
  21. For the record, Lone Wolf Dist. makes a Glock Carbine lower for 9mm (and maybe 40 S&W?) that accepts , for example , Rock River Arms 9MM uppers (amongst others I believe) and then also accepts the cooresponding Glock mags. I almost bought the Lone Wolf Glock Carbine lower, a RRA complete upper and a bunch of spare glock Mags two months ago, but I decided I wanted a "real" AR-15 FIRST, before I added the "toy" "Glock Carbne" .. and I blew the money instead on shotguns and .22LR rifles. Lol. But I have Lone Wolf Conversion barrels, etc. other stuff and they're faultless. I think they're also releasing/released a Glock Receiver too... a frame etc. So you could "build" your own glock from their stuff.. I was gonna do this and make myself a range toy Glock in a caliber/size I might not/really wouldn't buy a Glock in... Like the small, SS - .45 ACP or maybe a full-size .357 SIG etc.... and it also allows you to get a longer barrel for intimidation factor, or ported barrel, or different color, and/or two-tone with a bright metal slide, etc. I digress but LoneWolf makes the carbine and they're generally the best company ever for gun stuff.
  22. EDITED my original post to include the newest members of my Portfolio in the Rimfire division :-) Gots to cop dat blacktikal taktikal takticool AR style M&P 15-22. I'm all about value but also about just KNOWING it, FEELING IT... etc. The S&W M&P fits me great/feels great... The Remington 597 did me much better / felt much better than the 10/22 everyone recommended to me when I was looking for my first 22... and that Savage...Boy oh boy.. I love that rifle. It feels like it costs $1599.99 not $150 when it's in my hands/looking at it etc. Its like my favorite ... I highly recommend.
  23. I have started the hunt for my next project.. It will be a hopefully brand new, Mossberg 500... Many I like but will probably get the JIC 500 Camo cruiser-style PGO, and an adjustable spec ops rifle/PG stock... and MAYBE if possible the two muzzlebreaks and heatshield for tacticoolization pimpness...Sonic BOOM ! Would love one from the 590A1 line but I want a less expensive 3rd option for my Triangle Shotgun Offense, not another 600-700+ dollar mossberg pump!

    Benelli M4 Stock

Isn't Benelli using a standard PG-stock for all their rifles and shotguns where applicable now? I thought the badass stock was military/LE only and the rest use the, as I have on my Super Nova, "SteadyGrip" pistolgrip stock ... no?
