  1. Being in his district, I'm glad to hear this. When I first saw his name on that bill, it didn't seem right. I didn't get an answer from him.
  2. I saw an idea where someone took an old refrigerator and made a gun 'safe' out of it. I guess calling it a safe is a stretch but with a little work it would be better than nothing.
  3. The more noise that he makes, the more that the public will be aware of what he's like. For sure, that can't hurt us.
  4. At the rate legislators are writing new gun bills, maybe we shouldn't give any ideas like tattoos. Ya never know...one of 'em might say "hey! I've got an idea"
  5. John Fogerty did a song called 'Gunslinger'. It;s been a favorite of mine. It's from his Revival album/tour and I saw him do this song in AC. Fan or not, you might enjoy it. Kenny Aronoff is the drummer and he is one of the best ever.
  6. I'd like to hear the answer on this one. I don't understand how Albano could be a Sponsor on this. Albano voted with us, on most of the bills, at the Judiciary Committee meeting, He did not vote, at all, on the Assembly floor vote. The bill that he introduced with Matt Milam was the same bill introduced by Jeff VanDrew in the Senate. Milam has resigned and is to be replaced by Robert Andrzejczak, a former U.S. Army sergeant who lost a leg in a grenade attack in Iraq in January 2009. VanDrew has always been ProGun and, I believe, is a gun collector himself. VanDrew, Milam, and Albano have always campaigned together and supported each other.
  7. Watched the whole thing. Bloomberg was typical Bloomberg. I always get the picture of a little kid stomping his feet and throwing a tantrum when he talks. I thought Wayne did a pretty good job. One thing bothers me....the media always talks about the 'powerful NRA'. The NRA is only an organization. We, the members, give them the power to represent us. LaPierre touched on that when he said about people sending in checks. He needs to drive that point home.
  8. There are a lot of items such as fake clocks, paintings, and other decorative items that are advertised. I use other ideas but they might work for some.
  9. Good letter! Congratulations and thanks for taking a public stand. Well done!
  10. Geeeez....that is NICE
  11. Found this video. Really well done with good points. By a Sheriff in Indiana. Maybe you've seen it but interesting if you haven't. Maybe we should send this to Crynan. Wasn't it him that said it takes twenty seconds to change a magazine?
  12. One correction, if I may. Matt Milam, who voted no on the bills, has resigned. He will be replaced by Bob Andrzejczak, 26, of Middle Township. Senator VanDrew, Assemblyman Milam and Assemblyman Albano usually vote the same way on things. I don't know why Albano didn't vote in the Assembly vote but at the Judiciary hearing he voted no on most of the bills. VanDrew is pro gun and I think he'll vote no but he is a Democrat. Milam's address was [email protected]
  13. Jams are always with the .22, never had a jam with the 9MM. Same gun except for barrel, slide and magazine. The conversion can be done quicker than Cryan can change a magazine.
  14. I bought my 226 as a .22. Sig recommends that you shoot MiniMags which I've always done. Despite shooting a lot of rounds, it still jams more frequently than I'd like. To be fair, it does seem like with one of the magazines it jams a lot more than the other. I did send it back to Sig and they changed the slide and barrel. I know from reading a lot on the net that I'm not the only one. However, it's still fun to shoot and the accuracy is incredible. When I bought mine I think the price was about $525. After a while I bought a 9MM conversion for it. I think that cost $239. Buying it as I did, I saved some money. Buying it as a 9MM, then buying the .22 would have been $100-$150 more. That was a few years ago and I'm sure the price is higher now and I don't know if the advantage of buying it as I did is the same. I can tell you that I have three 9MM's and the Sig is by far my favorite. I have never had an issue of any kind with it's performance. It's been absolutely flawless. The trigger is super smooth and crisp. recoil is very reasonable and it shoots any ammo that I've used (American Eagle, S&B, Lawman, Independence, Winchester, Fiocchi) Just wanted to share this with you since I started with .22 as you mentioned. Hope this helps.
  15. I figured ya might see me around, so I decided to post a pic of myself. Friends say it's a good pic of me. I dunno....
  16. Congrats!! Wow...I'm surprised but I'm glad for you. Enjoy it.
  17. Good luck. I shopped for one for months. I see 'em on GB for $600-$700 and I wasn't gonna pay that much. To me, it seems like S&W dropped the ball on this one.

    SIG 226

I bought my 226 as the 22LR version (not a Mosquito). I then purchased a 9MM conversion for it which has been flawless for thousands of rounds. The .22 has been a different story. Despite shooting nothing but the recommended Mini Mags and sending it back to Sig, I remain unhappy with it's performance. Recently, I had 5 out of 100 rounds that jammed. I rarely bother trying to shoot it as a .22. I also have a S&W 5906TSW and a Beretta Nano which are both great guns, but the Sig is my first choice.
  19. Good luck Mr. Mills. I wish I was in your district so I could sign. I'd love to see that State House filled with NJ2AS members.
  20. This is a 'You Tube' video of Diane Feinstein at a Judiciary Committee meeting. You need to hear what she says about 'hunting humans'. Unbelievable. Not only that but listen to her describe the individuals using 'assault weapons'. HELLO DIANE!! They're criminals and they won't care about your law. http://www.youtube.c...e&v=ypHaYAv_EEw
