OBRPC - Steel Shoot - 3/18/12
Babaganoosh replied to alec.mc's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Looks like I am def going and bringing the chick. She was hesitant about shooting cuz she hasn't shot in months. She said she would go and just watch. No way, I would feel awful if she was just hanging out not shooting. I'd prob not even go. -

What caliber? If I go I'll have some 40 cal ones on me -
I'm going to be really pissed when residents of other states can carry here and we can't. I smell lawsuit on that one. In a way NJ screwed itself accidently by allowing carry with a permit. Yes they only give the permits to a small amount of people, but if we were a no-carry state this new law wouldn't apply here. NJ would have to reverse itself to a no-carry state to get around this. Say buh bye to all the BS permits given to the priveledged. I'm sure they would carve out an exemption for retired and off duty leo though, probably security companies too. I believe that we won't ever be allowed to carry here, and if we do they will handcuff us with so many confusing laws that trick you that it might not be worth it. I'm sure that would be just up their alley

Ok, feel free to pm me if you want. For the record I wouldn't ever shoot if I was going to be even the slightest bit unsafe. I just felt like complete garbage physically is all. My stomach was all jacked up. Add in the hour less of sleep and that makes it worse. I'll delete the above comments as to not put a bad image out there. Sometimes I dont see the other side things like you guys do. Makes sense though. -

I believe it was stage 5, right before the classifier. Maybe I was still in a fog because I def tanked that one but it looked a lot simpler than it was. -

Nice meeting the people I haven't met yet. Had a slow start and screwed the first stage. After I got the lead out I did ok. This isn't a dig at OB more of a compliment to CJ, but I always seem to enjoy the stages at CJ more than the ones at OB. Is the difference due to space issues, or because of different designers? On that subject I think I would like to try my hand designing some stages in a few months. Is there any info on that anywhere? Tutorial? Anything? I'm sure Vlad has heard this a hundred times but, is there any thoughts of going to an electronic scoring system at some point? I believe there are a few new systems in the works that utilize Android or an Apple OS. The palms are cool ay OB but they are old and not made anymore. I know it takes some more time on the front end but it's awesome that scores can be posted within 2 hours. Even better with the new systems, you know how many A's, B's, C's D's mikes and no shoots you hit. On that note thanks to maksim for getting the scores done so quickly. -

Your stage was the simplest looking but in my opinion the most challenging. -

Good write up. My M&P mags only cost 25 bucks though. Not sure where he paid 70? -

First Pistol- Thinking of Buying Used
Babaganoosh replied to J1030's topic in New Firearms Owners Corner
For what it's worth 80% of my guns have been bought used. it's nice to buy a gun already broken in. -
When does a light load start to become too light?
Babaganoosh replied to zoid's topic in Ammunition & Reloading
When you make really light loads you will notice black on the outside of the fired case. This happens because the lower pressure doesn't expand the case tight enough and gasses blow by staining the case in the process. When this happens clean your chamber and feed ramp more often so it feeds reliably. -
What if they said no? What if you didn't have time? Another question would be. If you had an ffl take posession of say 5 handguns, would you need to apply and get pistol permits to get them back at ogam? If you put a handgun up on consignment and it doesn't sell or you want it back, you must use a permit to transfer it back.

Exactly my thoughts. To the T.

This is not Anti Police Just funny
Babaganoosh replied to EX Carnival man's topic in General Discussion
Yeah because a prank squirting water out of a bottle that isn't hurting anyone or ruining property equals physical violence and a broken jaw. Get real. -
Oh I definitely get that, but that's not my point. My point and plan of action would be to find out a definitive answer from Shore Shot. Then proceed from there. If it's a campaign where we all call, so be it. If it's a campaign where we do a petition and drop it off so be it. Even if it's doing nothing, that's fine too. I rarely shoot there so it's not the biggest deal for me. I think the guys who go there often would like an answer though. Basically this is a Vendor vs Forum issue. So my opinion would be that Maksim would be the best person to call and talk to the Shore Shot owner for the initial definitive answer. You agree or disagree?

Voted as well by the way

Confiscated ammo
Babaganoosh replied to Shawnmoore81's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I've heard they destroy the ammo. Is it possible that a dept would shoot it all and tell him it was destroyed? Yeah it is. Chances are they destroyed it the proper way. I hope anyway. In any case I hope he gets the ammo back. -
I put the ball in his court because this is his forum. I was literally dialing the phone and realized that even the answer I get and post would be an unofficial one. It's just my opinion. I don't think it would be a good idea for a bunch of us to start inundating them with calls about a discount.
