  1. I would go a step further and add that it's a protection from the government itself.
  2. I thought that's how it was, then I thought I was losing my mind. I may still be losing my mind, but at least Frank cleared that up for me too.
  3. He's not so great, I can load a mag a lot better than that.
  4. found these on the web a while ago...seems over enthusiastic to me
  5. This is getting some serious consideration here too!
  6. It’s funny, I thought the idea our forefathers were trying to get across was a stable government, with built in safeguards to protect the people from that government. Leaving us with rocks and sticks wouldn’t be much of a safeguard.
  7. I joined the Patriot Guard Riders partly because of just these types of a-holes at soldier funerals. Unfortunately.... Announcement -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRAGEDY IN TUCSON, ARIZONA We have received many inquiries regarding our presence at the memorial and funeral services of the victims of this terrible tragedy. The Patriot Guard Riders are not a counter protest group. We have a very specific mission statement that focuses on our Fallen Heroes that have served our country and citizens. As a non-profit organization we are bound by law to adhere to our mission statement. Violating that could prevent the organization from continuing to honor our fallen military and first responders. We understand the sorrow these families are experiencing and offer our condolences in their loss and hope that no protesters will attempt to twist their pain for some media exposure. The best way to prevent these folks from attending funerals is to deny them media coverage and attention. That is the only reason they would be there. .............................................................. At least there will be someone there to help the families.
  8. I don't think there is any wiggle room with discretion on firearms infractions. I wouldn't expect anything less than arrest in every case.
  9. If the wife was waiting for the car and took off just as I pulled up and she got pulled over for some reason....well I'd be a happy man right now.
  10. Perfect actually! My wife grew up in AZ. If I go to the range with her and then leave my gun in the trunk, if she gets pulled over later she's gone for 7 years in some people's court because she didn't become a lawyer.
  11. Yes, Dan I was being sarcastic. I'm glad I didn't tell the story about driving home in a rain storm and running in the house forgetting my 9mm in the trunk for 10 minutes. I guess I have found a way to get my wife out of my hair and in jail for 7 years.
  12. There ya go, that's a good example. And of course the answer is that the guy clearly broke the law and should do 7 years.
  13. Yeah, isn't that a neat thing? There are a couple different kits like that. Check youtube for video.
  14. That's another problem. Manditory sentencing, and the real problem of the intention of the initial law. I think many people would find a difference between a gang member and a guy going for a florida vacation.
  15. This guy didn't shoot himself or anyone. Why would a jury not get to hear his background with guns when he's on trial for a weapon violation? If he were a veteran and upstanding member of local government they would hear that I'm fairly certain. If he were a transient bum or otherwise homeless they would hear that. Why is his background and life leading up to this particular crime irrelevant?
  16. Seems to me the law is 100% wrong. The jury should hear every bit of evidence about the guy being legal to carry in other states, gas stations that are self service, and the difference between right and wrong. Letting this guy off wouldn't hurt anyone, while putting him in jail hurts his whole family as well as him.

    "Wild west" rifles

Yeah, mine has those features plus an indicator pin that pops up when it's cocked, similar to the pin on my XD. A nicety when there's no hammer to see.
  18. Not only does he think wrong on guns, he thinks wrong on everything. It took an app for my phone called Visible Vote for me to realize just how horrible this man's brain "works". He is, without a doubt, the worst thing about New Jersey. Visible Vote lets you vote on bills and then compare your results to your polititians.

I bought a Savage M99 off the board here and couldn't be happier at fulfilling my lever action wants. I wouldn't hesitate at getting a Henry Big Boy, and I still may one of these days.

  21. So...knives while doing something illegal, bad news for him.
  22. Are tasers legal at all in NJ if you're not a cop?
