  1. Look for a Steyr USR. They are NJ Legal. As others have stated Microtech makes clones but I have not personally seen a NJ legal version.
  2. I still contend that this idiot in AZ was probably using cheap aftermarket non-drop free 33rnd mags. He was fumbling with a mag change when they took him down, most likely having to extract the spent mag before retrieving the next full mag. Had he been using drop-free 10 or 15 round magazines he would have kept going until he ran out of ammo or was shot...
  3. One of most recent favorites was Taken with Qui-Gon Jinn ...er-a... Liam Neeson. That was an excellent flick.
  4. I always felt the Empire Strikes Back was the best of all the episodes but the original Star Wars triggered my inner geek's obsessive compulsive disorder and nothing was ever the same again... Raiders was top shelf, I was 12 at the time and loved it but it took second place to the ultimate space opera for me...
  5. As an 8 year old in 1977 Star Wars was a game changer for me and will always have a place in my heart as my all time favorite movie. That said, as an adult several movies rank high. The Matrix Saving Private Ryan Book of Eli
  6. I'd love to hack into that system and set the message to "Hey dumb a** just watch the road and drive!" I worked from home today, not need to comingle with half a million morons idling their way to work reading the damned overhead signs... LOL
  7. A Cruze, really? My Cobalt SS/SC would be better than that crap... How about a damned ZR1 or Z06. Hell a damned Tahoe even. That was a minute and twenty seven seconds of my life I'll never get back... Jon you owe me for tricking me into watching that crap!
  8. I just watched this episode tonight and it really irked me. This guy tried to play off a cheap POS 37mm flare launcher slung under an AR as a military M203 grenade launcher! Really? Then the whole Masterkey issue, what a crock, as if it was some sort of hard to find relic from a bygone era that somehow needed to be reinvented. He should have called Knights Armament and just placed a damn order for one instead of reinventing the wheel. Not sure who was dumber him or the nit wit that bought 8 of those POS sawed off Saigas for $3k each... The show is kind of pathetic if you really know what they are talking about... 9. Hell no and oh hell no! I'm thinking most of the prior restraint laws we currently have should be re-written and limited to punishing people that possess such things during the commission of an actual crime. Direct these laws at the criminals that are actually committing the crimes the laws are "supposed" to prevent and leave the rest of us the hell alone!
  10. So they are all idiots... He was not attempting to purchase a long gun or ammunition in the state of NJ so there is no legal requirement for him to have one... Furthermore there is no registration requirement in NJ period. What they did to this guy was a sin. Hopefully one of those responsible for this will find themselves at the receiving end of a complimentary hard time in another state some day so they can get a little taste of their own medicine...
  11. Nice, the P210 returns with the 210-8 style side mag release! I had a chance to buy one of these years ago and hesitated on the price, now they are just way too damned expensive. This may be a second chance!
  12. Lighten up guys, you haven't yet figured out my twisted sense of humor? Seriously tell me that doesn’t sound like something you would find in any Bergen, Camden, Hudson or Essex county town?
  13. So the contract will be provided to the political crony that gives the best kickback or largest political donation. You and I will be paying 10 times the cost of what the uniforms really cost through the said political crony’s "authorized uniform company" Of course the 10 times cost will not all be profit, 30% of the added cost will also offset the cost of providing free uniforms to the indigent children whose families make less than $70k a year... This will free up funds so they can afford such necessary educational tools as iPods and XBox 360s... I hear they even have an inspiration for the design. Sounds like the perfect NJ educational program... Maybe they can even get a few of those left over embroidered Os from the last POTUS election to use as shoulder patches...
  14. I need to pay off the $2500 credit card bill and t-shirt I gor for Christmas...
  15. Don't get your hopes up, looks like the zombie recommended him... William H. Walls

  17. I have the same problem... I don't think it is a floor loading problem though. It is more of a settling issue.
  18. You need to understand that SS was an old range that was beat to death when Billy took it over in the early '90s. He did an amazing job resurrecting that facility from the chaos of the final days of the Inner Circle. In the final months the Inner Circle was apparently a mad house with little to no real range supervision. They found serious damage to the range from large caliber riles that the range was never intended to support. Repairing and replacing sections of the traps and baffles cost Billy a fortune in the beginning. If you had seen what he had built in Neptune before the town screwed him you would have been amazed. The Neptune facility was top shelf unlike any indoor range I have ever seen in NJ. That was truly a sad affair. When you compare the current SS to BA you are comparing a range built in the late '70 - early '80s to a range built in the last five years, they are apples to oranges. I would love to see SS expand to a new facility some day but who knows. If BA ever folds I would take the bet SS would lease the space, I just don't see that happening any time soon.
  19. I have known Billy at Shore Shot since he was in the process of building the original range in Neptune back in 1990. I worked on the security system at the current Shore Shot after the Neptune range debacle while they were renovating the Lakewood space after the Inner Circle closed. I worked at Shore Shot while going to school between 1997 and 2000. Billy is a great guy and has never given me any reason to question his integrity. He was always more than fair with me. I also have known Andy there just as long through a mutual friend; in fact the funny thing was we both worked for SS at the same time and didn't know it until we ran into each other one day which was quite funny. I met Phil from BA while I was working at Shore Shot in the late '90s. At the time he was a service manager for a car dealer in Toms River, Nissan if I recall. Phil seemed like a nice guy and I always got along with him. When Phil opened BA there was a lot of trash talk about how he was going to put SS out of business, etc, etc. Phil always seemed to treat me with caution as I guess he distrusted me knowing I worked at SS but in fact I was never like that. I think a lot of the bad blood between the two could have been avoided if not for the trash talk coming out of BA. That said I know a number of people that have had issues with BA, some people I had recommended them to have come back to me with stories I found hard to believe. Given a choice I prefer SS over BA mostly due to the staff. While Phil has always treated me right others at BA have rubbed me the wrong way with their attitudes from time to time. At least that is my 2½¢
  20. There are AR15 carrier and firing pin modifications that are designed to jam the action on the notch at the top of an AR15 hammer if the disconnector is removed. The M16 carrier is designed to shroud the bottom of the firing pin thus it allows the weapon to be able to slam fire if the disconnector removed... Personally I'd rather not take my life into my own hands by intentionally making a weapon slam fire but I never underestimate the stupidity of others... Bushmaster put this out years ago so people learn to know their parts and not get into the jackpot if they have any of them in their weapon.
  21. No problem, Any time you need something from my extensive anal retentive data dump of otherwise useless firearms information just let me know... ;-)
  22. I've been in security integration for about 22 years. I worked for ADT at the very end of their good days in 1990. I watched the Hawley Group destroy that company. I currently work for a large pharmaceutical company's security department. We were using SST as our primary integrator for several years before ADT bought them. As usual the quality of their work and support has gone straight down since the acquisition as they lost their premier talent. Like the Borg they keep assimilating companies and killing their accounts...
