I'm not sure how zoning laws work, I know the town/municipality owns or has power over a certain distance from the curb but not sure which or how much, i'm sure it varies. The bottom line is where your mailbox is located... is it on your door? the street? or like mine across the street? All the mailboxes in my neighborhood are on one side of the street. Then, if it falls under your property you safe, if not.. you screwed. On a side note, i dont think anyone would arrest you over exact zoning details, but if your in the street you could have a problem.

First order of business should be to find the legal owner of the gun. If the father didn't specify in his will who gets the gun, then it goes to the mother. First order of business, get the gun back to her. If your friend wants the pistol, the ONLY course of action is to get an FPID and Pistol purchase permits and transfer through an FFL. The law is pretty clear about this. You either get permits to transfers handguns or have one willed to you, no other way. Any other way is illegal. Out of state transfers must go through an FFL. The owner must ship the pistol to NJ FFL or personally accompany it. She is in a very tricky situation right now if anyone questions the legality of that pistol, Maybe have her Former LEO husband look into it??? or is that a NoNo? he could store the pistol at his PD until she gets the proper paperwork if the mom doesn't want it. I must say, this LEO is already a piece of work for either not caring about the gun or being completely oblivious to the situation.

Didn't they change all non-lethal ammunition to less lethal in general since the right shot with anything can kill.

Is the mag well removable on these? Way to big for my liking, yet practical for comp.

When i picked up my rifle i got the same crap from some 50yrd old guy just standing around. "That rifle is illegal you cant own that"...my response: watch me.. This was a little more annoying since the guy didn't realize no FFL will sell you an illegal rifle, I was gonna take a min and explain why it was legal but by the time i finished all the paperwork he was gone... Maybe he was scared of my evil looking gun, some guy next to me was looking at a colt and bushmaster, so it was an awkward comment considering the circumstances.

I have 75 gallon turtle tank, not sure about saltwater tanks, but the upkeep on mine is relatively cheap, just replace filter media every couple months. It's a great hobby for sure and very rewarding when you get your setup just right. The initial start up cost is huge tho, i could have bought a nice 1911 with the money i spent on mine.

It's hard to say the ammo is bad, but rather your gun may not like that type of ammo. I haven't herd of cci being more reliable then federal, but i have herd that it is more consistent and shoot better groups. If you have trouble with any firearm and ammo, best bet is to try another type. I use the federal bulk in my Mark III and it goes bang every time, but i have herd numbers of issues people have with it in other guns. Which AE ammo are you using? I don't use the HP ammo to avoid feeding issues. It does sound like an issue with the rifle tho if your having both fte and ftf.

They are really having that many issues with it? From my understanding it is not the dealers responsibility on the 30 day rule, i can buy a gun at one shop and go to another the next day and just lie my a** off. How can the burden fall on the FFL?

I'm just gonna say this, i know of 3 incidents personally where a Drunk LEO crashed into one of my friends and was told to just leave.... no statements, no nothing, one of them actually put one of my friends in the hospital the accident was that bad. One of them wrote down in the report the female passenger, who was also drunk, was driving and not the male LEO. So i'm actually quite surprised they even charged this guy. Am i for holding them to higher standards, absolutely not, but i am for holding them to the same standard like every other SOB. Now, there isnt a whole lot of info about exactly what happened here, how did the responding officers to the accident not realize he was drunk? did they tell him to just leave? did the guy who got hit smell something funky going on and called in a hit and run? He didn't run from the accident, yet he was pulled over later that night for one reason or the other... He was charged with a dui, he was probably drunk if they brought him to court for it, and i understand taking the stance that it was an uwarranted stop, but to come out and just say he wasnt drunk is B.S., just come out and say you beat the system. Now, i dont want to come off as bashing LEO, but there is truth and reality to what i have said.

Do the handbooks cover specific manufacture dies in detail? I was looking at picking up the hornady book since i would be using a hornady press, but i have herd conflicting reviews about that particular book and the charges being wrong even for hornady products. I'm trying to get an overall feel for what each book has to offer that others don't cover as much or in detail. Reading the lyman's manual right now... amen to the people who took the time to put all this data together.. Although i would like to get a "tricks of the trade" book but i don't think they exist.

I agree 100%. a .40 and 9mm are pretty similar i would go with the one with less kick and least expensive. If you want something more powerful then there are much better options.

I like the contestants so far, but they all seem kinda "soft". While i didn't like the military macho take over last season, they all seemed to have their heads in the game.
