  1. On the flipside for option B: As an FFL, buy some CZ mags, pin them, advertise that you have them for sale at a reasonable price but only in store. Attract CZ owners to your store and attempt to get yourself some new customers. As a CZ owner whose mags are 40% promag - I would be willing to drive pretty much anywhere in the state to rectify that.
  2. I hate that it makes me want to send $50-80 dollars of 9mm downrange every time I take it out, ugggh! It started out as a plain jane 75B I got used from a Texas pawn shop for $340 shipped (Score!). Some Cajun Gun Works bits and the SAO flat trigger later and it's just too much fun to shoot. I work near Efingers and have popped in there on occasion, it's one of those stores that make you wonder if the sales people know that they are there to make sales. Good to hear they are making some changes.
  3. Thanks Lunker Afzelia Xylay according to the maker. He is having a sale today until 10pm central time. PM if you'd like some details.
  4. Some amazing pistols on this page! on the last page! Quick shot of my new to me DW Valor. Test shell was from Nov 2011, so it's a pre-fire model. Grips are Sarge's, although I keep double diamonds on for normal range duty.
  5. VZ frags, very thin and grippy.
  6. My CZ-75B just after getting a new extractor, removing the FPB, and dropping in a SAO flat trigger. Haven't shot it yet with the work done but wanted to take some shots before it got dirtied up again.
  7. A quick edit of a shot I took the other night with all my nice (and not so nice) equipment - i.e. a $5 strobe I found in Lancaster. My new to me Kimber SIS Custom, freshly detail striped and all cleaned up.
  8. You always need a P2P when buying a handgun in NJ. Seller will mail copies to the proper channels after the sale.
  9. Nice Kimber! I have one as my 1st 1911 as well. Don't forget they claim to require a 500 round break in period, So run it on the wet side until then and be prepared for a few FTF's along the way.
  10. Do this! Also I don't think it was covered but if you rent one of their O/Us, you have to buy ammo from them. It was reasonable the last time I was there. It's so much fun, I can't wait to go back.
  11. Thanks, even though the other thread had a ton of discussion, I don't think this was covered. Most people were doing it the other way around.
  12. Posting a quick OGAM & NICS question ITT as I dont want to start a new one. I have 2 P2Ps coming in the next few weeks (hopefully) and am looking to buy 2 pistols, one from an FFL and one FTF. The FTF is a coworker and so I can execute that at any time. Can I do the following?: Buy FTF, Purchase/Begin NICS check of Gun2 from FFL at day 20 or so, take possession of Gun2 after NICS clears/30 days. Or would I have to wait the full 30 before NICS can be initiated? EDIT: Disreagrd, I'm reading through another thread below with the same discussion. Silent Patriot wrote a novella on it.
  13. Great timing, just got back from the range and my 75B needs a new extractor spring (and a serious cleaning). Might as well get some 1911 stuffs at the same time.
  14. I'll just leave this here while you wait for your buckmark. Just submitted paperwork for a few PtP's, so I'll be doing this dance again soon enough
  15. I'll have mine at Easton fish & game tomorrow, its got some goodies from cajun gun works installed. Not north jersey but 78 is your friend. http://www.cajungunworks.com/cgw_race_hammer.html
  16. I also got 2 from Mike this week for my PAP, like others said, very easy transaction over the phone and everything looks great. About $10 per mag more than I wanted to spend but compared to the overall crazy that's going on out there it was still pretty reasonable.
  17. Thanks to alec.mc's endorsement, I'll be trying this out for the first time as well. Sign me in to the newbie squad. I'll be shooting: rimfire pistol open (buckmark w/ PA red dot) rimfire carbine (old 10/22 with tech sights) As a non member, that would $40 in fees, correct?
  18. I think they are technically Serbian at this point. :science: Anyhoo, cutterOne: I should have the same rifle back from Jet and over at Easton sometime next week if you'd like to get a sneak peek - PM if you're interested.
  19. I saw a 85 Combat at their PA Store a while ago and had I not already picked up a low priced used 75B, I would have jumped on that. +1 for the CDNN mags, no need to look for anything else. Mine came with a CA 10rd so these were great. I'm just gonna leave these here...
  20. ^^^ I'm planning on heading over Friday morning - shooting rimfire and 9mm pistol. I may or may not have a new shooter or two with me, which will dictate how long I am at the rimfire range. I need to spend some time at the rifle range with my scoped savage 22lr, it been too long since I got to stretch that one out. I've got a nice CZ-75B with some parts from Cajun Gun Works installed, happy to lend her out for a test drive. I'll also have a buckmark, 10/22, and the savage.
  21. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID). 2 PP w/ existing FID 2. Police Department where you applied. East Brunswick 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. No personal interaction 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. approx 6 weeks 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). None 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.). Nearly the same amount of time (6 weeks) for my original FID w/ 2 PP, letters and calls for reference were done within the first week in both cases. Process seems fairly standardized over at EBPD. Happy with the results!
