I doubt that would work on a decent quality safe.

Are there any without electronic locks? What if the EMP happens?

NJ2AS v. NJSP update and court documents
Jeff replied to Bob B's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
They are busy removing everything they don't want you to see and will present that as the official document. -
I can't imagine you would regret this purchase. Just be sure to factor in the cost of the Sierra Papa stainless guide rod and replacement trigger. You've just gotta have them.

NJ FID/PP Compliancy Project

Got the call last night, coincidentally after I left a message that morning... -
10 week waiting period for hand gun purchace order?
Jeff replied to Lou's topic in General Discussion
Not true. I have to go thru the NJSP since our town doesn't have its own police. Been waiting 3 months and counting... -
So sad. But that makes no sense because retired officers from other states are fine. Right, I know, stupid of me to expect logic to prevail.

They told me it would be 10-12 weeks. It's the NJSP, our town doesn't have its own police. -

Just hit the 3 month mark and still waiting... -
Are you kidding me? I can't believe they could successfully prosecute that.

Vague, confusing, and unconstitutional gun laws. Is that one thing?

I'm guessing that was the poster's point-- that it has no effect whatsoever on crime.

looking for an affordable red dot for beretta cx4 storm
Jeff replied to david8613's topic in Optics & Accessories
I bought one of those and returned it. The dot did not stay on the target if you moved your eye even slightly off-axis. Bought an Eotech instead and it is awesome. -
CCW holder shoots robber, charged with murder
Jeff replied to ClangClang's topic in General Discussion
Anyone seen this? No charges filed. Ah, Texas. http://www.opposingviews.com/i/society/crime/man-shot-butt-while-stealing-fake-marijuana-fake-gun -
Reminds me of a real example of testing the lack of knowledge of people. They created a petition against a dangerous substance (listing the bad things it does) and lots of people signed to regulate/ban the substance. In the petition they referred to it as dihydrogen monoxide (i.e. H2O).

No, just the 512.

Here you go:

Awesome, thanks. I was hoping that was the answer.

Also, one other thing-- after the trigger is pulled and the hammer released, is there also supposed to be a little play in the trigger? That is, once you let go after firing and let it reset after dry firing, can you pull it a little bit (with a bit of spring resistance against it)?

Well, I finally got to the CX4 trigger replacement. Thanks to all who helped with my initial questions. You were all correct, it wasn't that bad. But one quick follow-up-- maybe I just never noticed before but does the bolt release lever ("slide" release) seem a bit loose when the the bolt is forward? Seems tight to the body when the bolt is back, but there is some play when it's forward. It's hooked into that little circular notch as it's supposed to be, and everything functions. But I just don't remember it being loose. Thanks again.

I know there are several people here who have replaced the trigger on the CX4 Storm, so I was hoping you could chime in. I am planning to do this today. I am following the instructions here: Storm Disassembly I assume this is the best set of instructions out there? Now for a couple of questions regarding the steps shown in the linked pages: 1) I am assuming that removing the magazine catch assembly on the first page is required in order to remove the trigger assembly? 2) At the bottom of the third page you remove the trigger assembly and the trigger is still cocked, then they show it uncocked (and mention to be careful when uncocking so it doesn't slam)-- do you just put one hand over the hammer and pull the trigger to uncock? Or, can you just start the entire storm disassembly with the trigger uncocked in the first place or does that prevent accomplishing earlier steps? 3) On page 4, at the very end, they show steps to remove a ball bearing-- doesn't appear to me that this is necessary for anything since the trigger assembly is already out. Is there any need to do that? Thanks in advance.

Just FYI, Utah gets you carry privileges in MN, and Arizona now gets you NV. Neither of which are provided by Florida.
