    GP100 vs 686

And the hummer is the much smoother, more nimble ride If strength is the only thing you care about then buy a S&W 500 which is proofed to 90k PSI and then download it to .38 special specs
  2. No, as I said, my logic is since I see a 50% + failure rate, I dont like them. Even you had problems with yours at the zombie match. Every time I see one at the range I ask how it is, and a big majority of the time they have had to go back for one reason or another. This is entirely unacceptable. Usually its fixed in one visit but a few people have had it back 4-5 times. Sorry, not worth the trouble. Its like a gamble buying one. And you cant call me biased because I own one (and its trouble free) If you see more than half of the S&W revolvers out there failing, well then I guess S&W sucks too. But I dont. If I posted a poll and people voted on which they had more problems with, I promise the SA would get the most votes. Ugh, forgot to switch accounts again. Its Glennp
  3. Holy crap who did that weld? Looks like a mig weld and they forgot the gas, and then went nuts with the grinder. PM inbound
  4. I have wire that would work well with a small weld like a chain link. Punching holes in AR500 is no easy task, but I will investigating subcontracting it out. It would make them easier to ship too. I know I could torch holes in but they wouldnt be too clean. Babaganoosh, I was doing research on this and the general consensus was that torch is good, plasma is bad and waterjet is the best. With a 1/2" plate unless you are shooting 338 LM at 100 yards at the edge you should be fine. The HAZ (heat affected zone) will be super minimal. Plus its not being hand cut its on CNC so its going to be a very quick torch pass (less heat). Most of the targets out there are torch cut with the exception of big dog or whatever his name is. Edit: Damnit I'm Glennp forgot to change accounts again
  5. I dont see why not...
  6. I know, it isnt near 5k yet. Probably 2k-3k
  7. It wasnt even my ammo, I shoot reloads. About the whole sealing thing, If it didnt seal well enough to cycle (major gas loss) the case wouldnt be as clean as it is... I've had 7.62x25 rounds split all the way down to the base and still cycled fine lol, and im sure that lost alot more gas. It all felt pretty weak though.
  8. Well, I guess ANYTHINGS possible Factory mags, not limp wristing, using LVE steel case copper washed russian stuff. The ammo that was like $7.50/box from AIM. Gun has a few thousand rounds without issues. Im blaming this one on the ammo I should at least get style points for having the case do a complete flip! BTW, forgot to switch accounts. I'm GlennP
  9. Right, by design the barrels are going to tilt upwards with the slide back because thats how the barrel moves to unlock.
  10. A spring wont make a gun shoot left Total BS
  11. If its not NJ legal then the guy cannot meet you at a NJ FFL, he would be illegally transporting an "assault rifle" no matter where he is from
  12. There isnt exactly a waiting period...but you can not buy more than one handgun every 30 days
  13. You would get the least amount of heat /heat discoloring with the TIG weld since you dont have to heat soak the part
  14. I order them, but if you want you can check mine out in bridgewater. As stated above they are indeed original. Lots of interest with these... Looks like I'm making a NJGF mosin sniper squad
  15. They are original rifles that were refurbed. They are %100 original rifles that were just cleaned up, shellaced and put in storage
  16. If you get the hole drilled and the pin driven in, I can TIG weld the hole for you for free. You will be responsible for final cleaning + cold blueing. Location will be Plainfield
  17. They are $749 for Tula, $679 for Izhvesk. PM me PS I am Glenn P. lol
  18. Buds gets their guns from the same distributor we do... so if buds gets it in stock that means we will also be able to get it
  19. He did. Mike, all of our distributors show it out of stock
  20. Bring it by my shop in plainfield any time 8:30-3pm m-f and I can tig weld it for you free
  21. ...the power goes out and you still do your SS tumbling with your generator (hey, its running anyways, why not?!) Edit: damnit I'm GlennP and forgot to switch accounts
  22. put it in "full auto", hold the trigger and rack it. If the firing pin doesnt drop its not full auto.
  23. Another reason that you need a glock: Cool back plates lol
  24. Well, if you get around to turning them on and turn them up all the way they actually amplify sounds to louder than you would normally hear them except discharges, of course. Although the extra few seconds it would take you are very precious
