  1. For the record, I like safeties. Getting used to that first round is what screws me up. I shoot revolvers best and I'm best in DA. I actually shoot the Beretta well. I like them.
  2. I don't like DA/SA. DAO I shoot well, single action I shoot well, but mixing the two messes me up. Also for some reason society hates safeties nowadays.
  3. HE, I may have asked this before, but what is the nicest gun you ever found?
  4. I use a rock chucker. Don't reload unless you're having fun.
  5. I think horders kill off a lot of milsurp interest as well. This isn't a personal attack, but some people have 20 Springfield M1s. Others buy all they can from the CMP. This keeps rifles out of a lot of hands. I love milsurp, but my collection is limited.
  6. Ebay currently has a 720 8 camera system with DVR and 1tb HDD for $200. Same system but no HDD and 1080 cameras for a tad under $300. Is the up sell worth it? It will be $150 or so extra. My house is a split level with crawlspace attic. Most cameras will probably be 10' from ground or so.
  7. I want to eat scrapple but I know too much. Yes, kielbasa, hotdogs, etc. Don't ruin me more. Edit: I've considered buying pork chops to make scrapple.
  8. 150 miles a day, 40k a year or so. Those of you putting on 40k miles a year, what do you drive? I can't justify buying a newish vehicle. I assume most cars are on their way out after 200k, and certainly out by 300k. I bought a beater for 2300 that had 80k on it. Now at 135k.
  9. How badly corroded? I'm assuming steel case
  10. I sense a disturbance in the force
  11. Bailey's. Shiner Holiday Cheer. Equal parts fireball and eggnog was recommended. Very good but I'm not an eggnog drinker
  12. By quick googling, it appears that copper is slightly less galvanic? I assume I'm working with mild steel. It appears that aluminum is anodic and copper is cathodic. The aluminum would be more likely to corrode, whereas the copper would make the steel corrode? Or am I wrong? It also looks like stainless is galvanic to mild as well. I think I'm overthrowing this but I should probably use plain steel painted rivets.
  13. I've read that using aluminum rivets on steel is a bad idea as the aluminum will cause a corrosion issue. Does anyone know if copper will do the same?
  14. Just to be sure, the upper is 100% legal to own. I'll bet that he won't give it to you. The upper is a brick.
  15. Does he have the lower? Take the upper only.. it is yours. Bring it to another shop. Then take the lower.

    Campgrounds

Tenting. Do most campgrounds check? I was going to take my F150 but can throw it all in my Explorer
  17. I've got the camping bug.. it's a little too early for May but one can plan. I need a campground. Somewhere that allows alcohol, reservations, BYO firewood, and west of the Delaware (PA) or north of 80 in the PRNJ. Woodsy is a requirement. Real bathrooms are a plus for my GF. I've been to Cedar Ridge in Montague. It's okay but kinda seedy. Greatly prefer PA so I can keep a shotgun in my truck. KOA and state campgrounds don't allow booze. No I will not mix firearms and booze. Suggestions?
  18. Can anyone worldwide ship parts or is it an ITAR issue? I want a new slide for my Tokarev. I think it would be an excellent carry weapon if I had a slide with a real safety. Nobody in the United States imports Zatsava
  19. No pictures, but I recently picked up a TTC Tokarev. Really nice shooter, tiny size. Would make an excellent CCW with a modern safety and sites.
  20. I like carrying when craigslisting as well. Buying Coleman junk and motorcycle hunting so far
  21. I do not. When I reload 9mm I inspect the inside of the cases to see if they are stepped. Freedom Munitions and Ammoland have stepped cases. This reduces case capacity and can be dangerous
