  1. Any good suppliers of primers either local in NJ / PA or online suppliers. looking for Federal large pistol and small pistol . 10k of each. thanks
  2. Anyone know of any opening date for basspro shop in sayerville.
  3. Just read the update on the sappa website requesting we write letters to the supreme court justices requesting they hear this case, I just finished my 9 letters has anyone else seen this update.
  4. Does anyone know if the CMP ships ammo to NJ, if so anyone know if its shipped with a plain box. they have some .22 ammo advertised that I want to order. I usually get mine from Targetsports with no problem in a plain box, don't want to let the world know what it is. thanks
  5. I find the WMA a nice place to go and target shoot with my .22s but as others have mentioned just use common sense, When I walk down range to change targets I take my bolt with me. I have seen folks shooting slightly different than I do but they seemed to be doing it safely. I prefer bolt actions and they like the autoloaders and playing army, just their thing not mine as long as their safe. That said the people I have seen that are dangerous are the ones who I would have thought would be safe yet are the dangerous ones. An elderly ( about 65 I would guess) black powder shooter at Clinton comes to mind. people down range and he's fiddling with his gun, This was not a one time thing. sweeping his rifle, messing with the action, pushing the rod down the barrel, was he loading it? cleaning it? who knows but he did seem angry at something. you will also encounter people throwing away their trash and calling it targets,( sorry guy but that's what we call garbage) and leaving it out there. I started cleaning up their trash when I am the only one there and it is safe to do so as that will surely get the range closed. One other problem at the WMA ranges is not a safety issue but a construction issue especially at the ones I'm familiar with, Clinton and Walpack have a "common " bench so when I'm trying to do accurate bench rest shooting the guy who brought his kids with him are doing jumping jacks on the seat and playing with their phones bouncing all over. ( If that's you just let your kids stay home please) also the benches must have been designed by a race of people that are 9 feet tall, you cant comfortably sit and bench rest shoot as your feet don't touch the ground and your chest is 12" back from the bench, there is no place to rest your elbow or butt of the stock, I have constructed a "table top" that I clamp down so it brings the bench top rearward as well as a protrusion to rest your elbow and rear stock. this helps out greatly. Also at Clinton they have posted a sign that tells you where and how your targets should be placed, again not sure who engineered this but it just seems illogical to me, metal spinners at 25 yds only? where there is a greater chance of a ricochet coming back at the shooter, metal spinners should be at 50 to 100 yards out to minimize a round coming all the way back at you or other shooters ( this by the way is the scariest thing there) Not sure who designs these ranges but I would sure like to know to show them how they should be built. The one I like the most is Stafford forge, separate benches and plenty of room along the line and in a nice area of the state. My job has me travelling all over NJ and I keep a few .22s all the time and every time Im near a WMA range I stop in for and hour or so and just shoot away. Clinton, Walpack, Stafford forge, one there is one between Hammonton and Egg Harbor not sure of the name, and the one closest to my home was closed because of noise complaints (black river) it is now a usless WMA so we should all take care of them because as I know they will go away.
  6. have to agree with Vlad. those of us that were in the military and got to play with the full auto stuff got that out of our systems, yea it would be cool but if we can trade bump stocks for national reciprocity I'm for it but it MUST be very clear. it must include protections for self loading sporting arms so the USA doesn't have AR15's that look like NY's. the left needs to learn that black powder and wood for guns are a thing of the past and polymers, cerokote and space age alloys are in the present.
  7. how will the SAPPA case play out in all of this. I agree with Oakridge, We should be bombarding the courts with cases as well as the other few states where the 2A is not recognized .
  8. just wondering if the above statement by Washington D.C. about continuing to enforce this good reason clause would amount to contempt of court and could those "enforcing" it can they be charged accordingly as well as adding the appropriate civil rights violations on as well. This should be of interest to us in NJ and the other few states that deny rights as if national reciprocity or the SAPPA case or any pending cases become wins for America our communist politicians will certainly "advise" our state to continue to require justifiable need. Any legal scholars able to answer this.
  9. Crown Vics are great cars, they are starting to show signs of the frames rusting in the front and in the fleet I work with that's one big reason they get turned in, many have close to and over 200k and still going. The fleet is professionally maintained so regular checks and that's all they need to keep going, no big problems that I can think of. also a VERY comfortable car compared to these mini cars they are starting to use.
  10. order ammo about every 2 weeks from them, never had a problem. and as others said 1-2 days to NNJ. I always check the unmarked packaging option they offer. Trying to accumulate a lifetime supply of .22 , plinkers, target, high velocity, Standard Vel all brands. never a problem. fedex guy just backs up my garage now.
  11. According to a story in Ammoland.com it is paul ryan who is holding up the national reciprocity bills from being heard.
  12. I would be interested if a sponsor is available, for military training is dd214 ok
  13. This MAS had the bolt handle replaced about 30 years ago when Navy Arms were selling them for under 200 bucks, I purchased a few of them back then with the original cleaning rod kits, magazines, and French owners manuals. This one is my shooter and as my eyes age I'm forced to add a scope. I have the B-square mounts as well I just don't like them. I know a lot of people don't like them modified but as you know you really can't compare ANY modern made .22 to a MAS except for the really expensive rifles like a 40x, a Kimber or a 1922 springfield. I have kept my other Mauser marked ones all original.
  14. also, what about all the court violations by Shipp that led up to this, any charges coming on this.
  15. please think about the rifle shooters, have ports designed with bench rest in mind. nothing more frustrating than trying to zero a scope/red dot or shoot your .22 rifle and only having a 12" platform to rest your gun, no room for bipod or sandbag or elbow. maybe a fold down elbow rest or some kind of bracket mounted to the wall so a rifle shooter can hook on their own arm rest for bench rest shooting.
  16. who does this really help out, I always thought LEOSA covered any sworn officer anyway? Am I missing something. Is this just feel good stuff, Why didn't anyone hear about this until now. Something seems fishy. seems like this might help out of state folks who might have been jacked up during a stop or something who were some level of law enforcement who might not have been covered by leosa?
  17. hope to see this alot for the next seven + years, call sign is "Nighthawk 1, 2, 3, " etc. without POTUS onboard.
  18. https://www.ammoland.com/2017/06/national-reciprocity-call-to-action-lets-move-this-bill/#axzz4lJ2awtN9 Not sure if anyone read this article on Ammoland.com I made my call just now, everyone should start calling especially after the 7 traitors on the SCOTUS didn't take the peruta case. 202-225-3951 let them know that you want HR38 moved on its time
  19. Can anyone recommend a smith to remove sights front and back on a MAS45 .22 training rifle and drill and tap it for scope. front sight is soldered on and rear seems to have a spot weld as well as screws. Northern nj if possible. thanks
  20. I guess with this the SAPPA lawsuit is pretty much moot unless Mr. Purpura is holding 4 aces we don't know about.
  21. Thanks, They wanted to take some kind of tour but many of the online tour vendors are very vague on what there is and what they include. They are staying at Disney for the last four days of their trip. Thanks
  22. Wife and kids are taking a trip to Disneyland in Ca. and was wondering if anyone can suggest any good tours to Universal studios. They have never been there before and everything available online is confusing. Thanks
