  1. Question 28 also comes into mind, (28) Are you presently, or have you ever been a member of any organization which advocates or approves the commission of acts of force and violence, either to overthrow the Government of the United States or of this State, or which seeks to deny others their rights under the Constitution of either the United States or the State of New Jersey? If yes, list name and address of organization(s). well I interpret that as being a democrat as a disqualifier.
  2. Being republican, The new justifiable need.
  3. There's no shortage of stories in NJ of property owners who have been fined for doing that, A few years back I think it was Jefferson a homeowner shot a mother bear and a few of the cubs that were trying to gain access into his house. A encounter that I remember that has to be at least 20 years ago at bakery in Sussex county the couple were having a barbeque and a bear decided to show up, the bear started towards the guys wife so he shot and killed it. So the trooper shows up and pats the guy on his back and tells him good shot and that's that........until the fish and wildlife cops come and take the bear and have a necropsy done, they say the bear was in fine health and proceeded to fine the guy and jam him up. My theory is to do what you have to do as an adult, your the one that's present when it happens not some Trenton bureaucrat .
  4. thanks for the rapid response all taken care of.

  7. Would this eliminate the justifiable need crap? Now that the state is finally in agreement with the intent of the second amendment 1.The Second Amendment guarantees individuals a fundamental right to keep and bear arms for self-defense District of Columbia v. Heller, 554 U.S. 570 (2008); McDonald v. Chicago, 561 U.S. 742 (2010); Caetano v. Massachusetts, 577 U.S. __(2016). Further, “the Second Amendment extends, prima facie, to all instruments that constitute bearable arms, even those that were not in existence at the time of the founding.” Heller, 554 U.S. at 582; Caetano, slip op. at 1 (per curiam). Can we now use the second amendment as a reason to get a permit?
  8. The article on Ammoland.com states that the "honorable" (yea right) Michael Shipp must sign off on it and provide direction? This is the Obamabot who was stonewalling the SAPPA/Nick Purpura lawsuit. What kind of direction can we expect from a deep state obamabot. I agree with Shane45 its a trap. The fifth columnists in the NJ legislature (Weinberg, sweeny) have a pretty good idea that CCW in some form is coming to NJ and other states that don't abide by the Constitution and are taking the proactive stance to allow us and the citizens of the US the ability to carry these stun things when national reciprocity happens. This will be their way out of allowing us to carry actual firearms. they will settle for the "lesser" of two evils. I for one don't wish to engage a hardened graduate of Obama university within arms reach.
  9. I agree with JohnnyB, Just keep in mind the enemy that we are engaged with. As we plan our next move if victorious they too are planning theirs if lost. They will create endless hurdles and hoops for us to jump through, I won't name any as I don't want to aid the enemy in any way but you can all guess what they will be. But a victory on this combined with federal reciprocity and there wont be much they can really do legally. When we do eventually get CCW it is going to be so anti-climatic all concerned will wonder why it took so long.
  10. Is he going to argue this case himself? That's sure what it looks like. I hope he gets some assistance.
  11. thanks for the replies, I guess with all the new polymers, plastics and composite stocks people are not interested in wood that much anymore.
  12. I'm 54 and just had them put in. About a year ago I developed a Eustachian tube problem, ears popping, wheezing, hurting constantly. Went to my regular ENT who didn't see anything and finally got an MRI to rule out anything bad, MRI showed something in inner ear so I was sent to a otolaryngologist who does surgery. She had all the specialized equipment for ears and was able to show me my eardrums on a large screen TV and they were filled with fluid completely, I could even see the air bubbles and stuff in there. She did the procedure right in her office, didn't have to get knocked out like my son, She just numbed the eardrums and poked a hole in them and instant relief, it took about 10 minutes. I just went back for a 1 month follow up and all is still good. not sure where you live, this doctor works out of west orange and summit. If you want Dr info let me know
  13. Does anyone know of a supplier of semi finished rifle stocks, inletted and non-inletted. I used to buy them from Fajen 20-30 years ago and they are no longer around. want to make a few fancy grade stocks for a few of my rifles and cant seem to find a company like Fajen. They had a good selection of various woods from all over as well as a lot of different designs. Thanks
  14. thanks to everyone for the replies I have opted to get a spare drilled and tapped barrel for my model 41. The question I have now is what is the difference between a "reflex" sight and a "hologram" sight. I was looking and comparing some online and reading the reviews but I don't give online reviews too much weight on making a selection. The model I thought might be the best for the buck is a C-More brand reflex, Does anyone have any experience with this brand. I am trying this sighting system because my eyesight is not what it was and I know I can shoot better bullseyes than what I have been doing. thanks again
  15. just called S&W about a spare 5.5 inch barrel and they finally had some, been looking for several years for a new one from anywhere. I was surprised as I wasn't ready for the salesman to say they had some. so if your looking call. they come minus a rear sight so if you want an iron sight ask when you order it, they are also drilled and tapped.
  16. Was thinking about getting a red dot type sight for my ruger mkII govt target model. do these have any advantages over iron sights for bullseye type target shooting. was going to use the Weigand no drill scope base. Do they help shooters with poor eyesight at 25 yds. thanks
  17. OK, so where is a good place to get a passport photo made. Thanks
  18. Just got my letter from Utah advising to renew permit. anyone do this before and have any tips, like do I need a new picture Thanks
  19. Not sure if this elsewhere on this site, If you go to ammoland.com you will see a letter that the SAPPA group sent to Congressman Massie of Kentucky, The head of the Second Amendment Caucus. for some reason it won't let me post the link just go to the older posts from about 3 days ago I had sent a letter to him as well just the day before I saw this article. I recommend we all start sending in letters to explain our plight. below is my letter. The Honorable Thomas Massie U.S. House of Representatives Washington D.C. 20515 Dear Representative Massie I am writing to you in regards to your leadership of the Congressional Second Amendment Caucus. Being an American citizen who happens to reside within the borders of the State of New Jersey we have had our Second Amendment rights stripped from us by our past and current administrations and have had any attempt to gain them back through the legal process stopped and held up at every turn. Our most recent attempt is a court case that has had every obstacle placed in its way. The case is: Purpura vs. Chris Christie, This case clearly shows the corruption and lengths that the anti-2A powers to include the Third Circuit Court will go through to keep American citizens whose only disqualifying factor is that they live in the state of New Jersey. The New Jersey politicians view is that all ownership and possession firearms is illegal and subject to their will and have outlawed all firearm possession outside your home except for certain exemptions such as directly to and from a shooting range that has registered with the superintendent of the state police. And although they claim to be a “may issue” state, in reality we are a Non-Issue state because of the application process and a requirement of something called “justifiable need”. Justifiable need is a requirement that no citizen can satisfy and the few that have fought it has cost them years of litigation and thousands of dollars. As we know Constitutional Rights are free as in the financial sense yet have been paid for with the lives of the hundreds of thousands of Americans who gave their lives defending them. We Americans who live in this state and wish to exercise our inalienable constitutional rights are begging for relief at the federal level as we will never see it from our corrupt radical liberal legislators. There are several “Federal Reciprocity” bills waiting to be bought up in the new Trump administration one being from Representative Richard Hudson (N.C.) that as written will probably not help us much since New Jersey does not issue concealed carry permits to ordinary citizens so it would not apply to us. We would ask of your committee to research this and try to craft a Bill that would grant us relief and allow us our rights. With the current state of affairs in regards to the threat of terrorism throughout our country one must be constantly vigilant and have the ability to legally defend one’s self and family anywhere and anytime and currently New Jersey citizens don’t. Any consideration on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, This is Americas last chance and the next two years are extremely critical, start writing and do what I did and print out envelopes for your friends. If you are an owner of a gun store or range please do the same thing. print up a simple letter and make them available for your customers. To win a battle one must maintain the momentum and drive over the enemy, Just because Trump won doesn't mean we stop.
  20. does anyone have familiarity with either the 625jm or the 625pc. I will be using it for bullseye shooting at paper targets mostly. Is the PC worth the extra money if I'm not competing. I have checked the differences and the only big difference I see is the rifling, (besides those stupid grips on the PC). for punching holes in paper are there any reason to spend the extra on the PC. thanks
  21. Anyone keeping up on the sale of 1911's from the CMP and know the status.
