  1. Anyone know todays nics instant wait time.
  2. Does anyone know of any ranges in Pa that are run buy the state , similar to the wildlife management ranges here in NJ where anyone can go and shoot pistols, centerfire rifle. I'm looking for ones on the Rt-80 corridor and as close to NJ as possible. Thanks
  3. I am going to be purchasing a pistol from a friend and wanted to know who actually sends in the PTP paperwork to the PD and SP, is it the seller or purchaser. thanks
  4. great, thanks for the reply's
  5. I know I read a thread on this a while back but cant find it, Is it legal to laminate your card and where is a good place to have it done. I have the kit from staples but they are not very heavy duty. thanks
  6. I use a product called Boracare, I lived in a log cabin and always treated it with that. also do a search on youtube for carpenter bee traps and build a few of them, I built one that has a plastic bottle at the bottom and quite a few of the bees get in and cant get out,
  7. "What could follow is a discussion about how the vast majority of people who are violently attacked or murdered in this state were not previously threatened by the attacker. By addressing only specific cases, the NJSP abandons the citizens of NJ that face the danger of violent acts daily and assigns zero value to their lives by the NJSP as they are told they have no right to protect their own life. Hence, their life is worthless in the eyes of the NJSP." Using the NJSP thought process on this issue a "private citizen" (whatever their definition is of that) as they call us should know in advance that a "serious threat" exists. If one knew that you would never get on that plane that is going to crash, or get in the car that is going to crash or ship that will sink. The entire world today is a "serious threat" . I think comments should be sent in addressing the Purpura v Christie suit explaining that NJ's gun laws are all based on outdated decisions prior to the Heller and McDonald, I'll bet most legislators except for the ones who got served are not even aware of this case.
  8. http://www.njsp.org/news/2016/pdf/rp20160314_1354.pdf Not sure if this is related to this thread or if it is covered somewhere else here. looks like they want to add a new criteria for a carry permit in addition to the justifiable need bull. They do give an example of a taxi driver who drives in bad neighborhoods. The thing I see is that they are still referencing all this justifiable need to the NJ supreme courts view on it. Also this "Federal Standards Statement A Federal standards analysis is not required because the proposed amendments do not exceed Federal standards, and are not proposed under the authority of or in order to implement, comply with, or participate in any program established under Federal law or under State statutes that incorporate or refer to Federal law, Federal standards, or Federal requirements." Any know anything about this, looks like there is a public comment period.
  9. Anyone know if this victory will help us somehow, Maybe help the Purpura case?
  10. Another issue for all NJ politicians and judges with very few exceptions is question 28. (28) Are you presently, or have you ever been a member of any organization which advocates or approves the commission of acts of force and violence, either to overthrow the Government of the United States or of this State, or which seeks to deny others their rights under the Constitution of either the United States or the State of New Jersey? If yes, list name and address of organization(s). The way I interpret that question is that being a registered democrat or republican legislator with a anti 2A voting record you would have to answer yes to that question, there's no way around it especially with a documented voting record. Now having to answer yes might not necessarily be a reason to deny a permit it does put the dilemma of how the politician or judge will be treated especially if one answers No, I feel that if a elected legislator who has a documented voting record of anti 2A answers No they are guilty of falsifying the application and than must be denied due to that reason.
  11. Anyone have a list of FFL's in the Morris county area that do transfers from PA gunshop. THanks
  12. I take this as an end run around the Purpura v Christie case, The administration wants it to go away bad, what better way to do this than to issue a couple dozen "select" applicants their permits thus making Nicks case fall apart. This would only last 2 more years unless a carry permit/pension deal can be worked out, Dems want pension on ballot for constitution change and Christie wants to be president.
  13. I know the answer is probably buried somewhere in here but what is the law during the change of address process if you have to turn in your old card when you apply? are you still good to transport rifles and pistols to and from a range, out of state etc. since your drivers license doesn't match? THanks
  14. That's good news but it might not end here. I would still hire an attorney once you receive that letter, There is no telling how many lists your name might be on because of their F*^% up. With computerized record keeping and the quality of employees currently in the public sector due to Christies hatred of them you just don't know. When you receive that letter make many copies, get them notarized, signed originals, have it memorialized in as many ways as your attorney might think. I WOULD NOT TRUST ANYTHING from any government agency especially a firearm related matter in NJ.
  15. I have come to the conclusion that it is easier to temporally move ( rent a room or cheap apartment ) to a gun friendly town, get what you want and than change back. These delays are BS and chief should be charged.
  16. " since there is no way for people to know they're on it until they get dinged by it, " I personally believe that this is the biggest problem, If you could check yourself PRIOR to signing anything or purchasing anything for any red flags you could be proactive and get your record cleaned.
  17. I hope the original poster keeps us updated as to how he ended up on this list.
  18. When you begin this process I highly recommend you audio record any phone conversations, obtain all contact info from who you talked to including state e-mail account, IMMEDIATELY after any phone call send an e-mail to that person thanking them for your phone call ( I know government workers and how easily they forget). record any in person contacts with your phone, save these to a drive as I can guarantee that you will probably need them( just like a dash cam in an accident). And of course you will need an attorney and make to ask about recovering your legal expenses. This is no joke as NICS will follow you across the country. Everyone should be aware of CCATS as ANYONE can and probably will find themselves on the "list" and will have to go through this, It might even be considered the "new norm" for gun owners in NJ.
  19. Once Christie finally realizes where he stands in the polls maybe he will make a last ditch effort to gain ground by trying to show he's pro gun. We know otherwise but the rest of the country doesn't.
  20. Its quite possible that this info was entered due to "CCATS" . They are just data mining all info from everywhere and entering it without any due process. Then it is up to you to prove yourself innocent. probably someone with the same name but what do they care, just enter all John Does and let god sort em' out.
  21. The section about being removed from the list must be much more specific and extremely detailed. There MUST be a exact time written into the law as to when this board meets and there MUST be an exact method and place defined as to where and how this will take place, The board will be given timeline such as 5 business days to resolve the matter and the 5 days will really mean 5 days, not a "NJ" 5 days if you know what I mean. We all know very well how laws are interpreted by "politicians" especially us living in NJ where a phrase as simple as "shall not be infringed" is interpreted. If the method to be removed is left to each individual state than we know that NJ will craft an impossible method. The process to be removed Must be as simple an avenue as possible for the person requesting to do so, That would mean no attorney should be required. The law will have to explain EXACTLY why you are on the list which includes any legal documentation as to why. With identity theft so prevalent today you might find yourself on this list so being removed can be as simple as telling this board that " That's not me, I have never been to Chicago" and that would have to be an acceptable reason to be removed. There should also be absolutely no "lowering of the bar" as we all know NJ loves doing this, Question 26 is a perfect example of this. If you allow politicians to amend this law then soon many medical conditions might be added such as diabetes, wearing corrective lenses or acid reflux, Don't laugh if Hillary gets elected you will see what I mean. I have only read this proposed law once but what I would like to see in it since it covers everything in a typical background check is a section that supersedes all current "permitting schemes" so if you pass this check you can make your purchase NATIONWIDE (handgun-long gun) and if you choose to voluntarily register it in your home state feel free to do so. This would lift a heavy financial burden off most of the states and states such as ours would no longer need to dedicate a sworn officer to perform a task a clerk can perform. I know a section like this would appeal to us who are behind enemy lines and most of the free states would probably not go for it. I guess my rant breaks down to: The law must be written with exact details with absolutely no wiggle room for the anti-americans who will stop at nothing to take our rights away.
  22. The Obama/Clinton administration will stop at nothing to take our rights away, soon they will argue the color of socks the judge was wearing disqualifies him. Obama and company are sowing the seeds of terrorism throughout the U.S. right now praying for mass casualty attacks to occur so they can use them as the excuse he wants to start to implement his martial law to start confiscating our guns.
