They are reliable, cheap, durable, and easily field stripped. You can modify everything on it if you wanted to. The ergonomics suck though! If your looking for a 9mm, go for the G17. If a G19, consider a Walther PPQ instead if you can find one.

Need a scope for remington 700 .308 w 26" barrel I found 3 that i may want: 1. Nikon Monarch ucc 3-9 40mm for $200 2. Leupold VX3 6.5-20 40mm fine duplex for $550 3. Zeiss Conquest 3-9 x 40mm Rapiz Z600 for $400 Both have been mounted but not used. I know nothing about scopes, and will use the rifle maybe one day for hunting if I go out of state. If not, I just want a decent scope for this rifle since I will be doing some upgrades to it. I keep reading get the best scope you can afford, uggh. If there is a big difference in quality,I would have to spend the xtra money. I know there is a big diff with the magnif. Just seems that the Leup price is very good. He wanted $625 for it, said he would take $550..But is this gonna be an overkill for what I may use the rifle and scope for? But for $200 for the Nikon, why the hell not..unless its a POS. I dont know the going price is on the Nikon Monarch, but the Leup are going for minimum $675 and $610 on ebay right now. Zeiss's have a 100 rebate. SO should I go with the Leup, or save the money and go with the Nikon? The Zeiss seems like the best bet!

I got a KAC rear micro flip and just bought a front Troy folding tritium..For both cost me $120 shipped. Only thing is the front sight is the HK style, which I prefer in looks. Just trying to find the best deal on the 11" Alpha Vtac Battle Rail. Going with either the claymore or medival muzzle break also. I do have to get a LPGB too, then Im set. Thanks for all the advice so far.

U need to cut down the top of the gas block to make the rail fit over it, or put a low profile gas block on. It is what I need to do too.

I picked up a KAC BUIS micro folding rear sight today for my AR. I ordered a Troy alpha battle rail also. I am looking for a front tritium sight, fixed or folding. Any recommendations on which brand, or if I should do fixed or folding? I do not have any experience with iron sights on an AR. I can get the Troy battlesight front folding for $114, or the fixed tritium battlesight for $80. These are the only ones I have been looking at today. Thanks if you guys can help. If I go with the Troy's, I need to order asap.

I didnt see anyone buying ammo by the case. I was there for an hour and was the first one to buy a rifle.

Got the only Rem 700 .308 in Manahawkin. They even took off an additional 60 bucks in coupons, so total with tax was $420 ish minus $100 mail in rebate, so got the rifle for around $320! 6 ammo limit is for .223 and similar cal., all other ammo no limit. I got 6 boxes of .308 and 6 9mm.

Price not bad, congrats. I had one, very accurate with the iron sights. Definitely make sure to keep it clean for proper function. It was just a little heavy for me.
