  1. N.J.S.A. 2C:3-4 Use of force in self-protection. (3) c. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of N.J.S.2C:3-5, N.J.S.2C:3-9, or this section, the use of force or deadly force upon or toward an intruder who is unlawfully in a dwelling is justifiable when the actor reasonably believes that the force is immediately necessary for the purpose of protecting himself or other persons in the dwelling against the use of unlawful force by the intruder on the present occasion. (2) A reasonable belief exists when the actor, to protect himself or a third person, was in his own dwelling at the time of the offense or was privileged to be thereon and the encounter between the actor and intruder was sudden and unexpected, compelling the actor to act instantly and: (a) The actor reasonably believed that the intruder would inflict personal injury upon the actor or others in the dwelling; or (b) The actor demanded that the intruder disarm, surrender or withdraw, and the intruder refused to do so. (3) An actor employing protective force may estimate the necessity of using force when the force is used, without retreating, surrendering possession, withdrawing or doing any other act which he has no legal duty to do or abstaining from any lawful action. But..but...but. This is New Jersey! You have to retreat from your home and barricade yourself in a closet. ;-) Thank you for posting the statute.
  2. Just a beautiful pistol. Re-assembly isn't hard once you get the hang of it. And this well worn and well taken care of pistol, I predict, will have a mainspring assembly that slides out easy! Very jealous with my mark III Target.
  3. Channel lock pliers. Works every time.
  4. Irish: bushmills or concannon For highballs: Canadian club American: Jack Daniels Scotch: glenmorangie or glenfiddich single malt, chives ir similar for blended Nothing too pricey. It seems like I don't notice the value of a high end whiskey.
  5. Trenton pd has come out and said the dispatchers response was appropriate. The man in the building was determined to be a 'disorderly person' and not a 'crime in progress' I'm sure it didn't feel that way to the building owner who had to tangle with him.
  6. He is behind me. But e also owns the house to my right. If the tree falls, it will land in the yard to the right. His parents live on my left. This is a tall tree though, an if it falls it will totally span the next yard over and into the next house beyond that. The damages are one thing. I'm sick at the idea that he may be buying a gallon of round up a week and dumping it I to my backyard at night. My kids dig in the dirt and play in the yard. I love his parents because they've been nice to us over the years but if I catch him, the BEST thing that will happen is tht he winds up in jail. Vandalism, child endangerment, insurance fraud. The lot.
  7. Any advise would be appreciated.
  8. The issue is that the tree is clearly not doing well. If it falls and I have no proof that he caused its decline, I could easily be held responsible by the insurance co. I need to catch him. The issue is the tree is less than three feet from the property line. If he sees tha camera and stops doing whatever it is he's doing, will the tree recover? I will need at least two cameras. One at the fence line and one pointing at the other camera in case he tampers with it.
  9. When I bought my house in 06, there were two trees on the property. I had an arborist come and he told me one was diseased so I ha it cut down, about three grand. The other tree is a big evergreen he said was fine. A couple of years ago, bak neighbor came and asked if I wanted to cut it down because it was dropping pine cones in his yard. He would pay for half. I said I really didn't have 1700 to cut a tree down that I didn't care to cut down anyway. But if he wanted to foot the whole bill, I wouldn't object since he found the tree a nuisance. He didn't agree but later came to my house while I was at work and tried to get y wife to give home money saying I made a deal with him. So, liar. I've noticed over the last few months tht the tree seems to be dying. My side of the tree has needles. But the top and his side of the tree is brown and losing needles. This is a 60 foot tree btw. I suspect that he may be spraying or pouring some kind of poison over his fence in an effort to kill the tree or damage it so much that I just cut it down. Now there is a chance that it is just sick and dying and that's on me. But, if this man is pouring dangerous chemicals onto my property where my dog does his business and my kids play, I want to catch him and see him in cuffs. 1) can anyone think of a substance, chemical or natural, that would do this to a tree that is older than most of the houses in town? 2)what is the best means to catch this fucker on camera? Trail cameras? IR surveillance? I can't break the bank but I need to know for sure before I alert the authorities.
  10. ...the rocks are redder on the other side???
  11. Ttt because I edited and I'm curious for a response.
  12. So that means this was a later one that was 10 inches at manufacture? I'm considering sending it off for restoration to edgemasters. Any opinion on doing this? I'm not really looking to preserve a collectible value unless it is worth a lot of money. Really I'd just like to restore it so it will last another lifetime. Thoughts?
  13. Awesome. Dave can you explain the significance of the blade being uncut? I wish I had the rifle too...lol Any idea what the makers marks mean? Where it was fabbed? When? I know frank was in Europe but that's all I know.
  14. I was in my dads storage unit and we came across a bayonet that his uncle frank carried in Europe in WWII. I remember as a kid, my dad had it in his toolbox and he used it as an all around knife. I even snuck a peek at it from time to time. It's seen better days but my dad offered it to me when I said I may be looking to buy a Garand. The scabbard is original although at some point my dad put his initials on it. I brought it home and started breaking through some of the rust on it and loosens up the release mechanism a but. What do you think? It has a flaming bomb embossed both on the blade and scabbard. The blade also has O L on it.
  15. Sedona. Beautiful country. Never hotter than 80 and never colder than sixty and never rains.
  16. When I was a kid, my mom used to give me Taylor ham and cheese sandwiches with mustard. They were my favorite cold lunch at school. I was in Woodbridge deli and it came up that I are cold Taylor ham/pork roll. The girl at the register reacted as if I said I drank the fresh blood of puppies and kittens for lunch. Anyone else eat it cold too?
  17. Who cares what you call it!? Taylor pork ham roll! This is an implementation I think we can all support.
  18. Taylor ham. Then I went to tsc for college and someone gave me pork roll. I was like, "hey! This tastes just like Taylor ham!!!" Staten Island, FTW!!!

    Ruger P95

The grip is deeper than a 92fs. So if you've got smaller hands it may be uncomfortable. The grips are polymer too so you can't swap them out but the do have sleeve overlays if to need to beef them up. Definitely handle one before you buy. Heritage guild in Rahway should have one in 9, 40, or 45acp. The frame is the same basically so get a feel.

    Ruger P95

I love mine. I wanted a double stack 9mm that was full ambidextrous since I'm a lefty. At the price point, I picked it up. I'm very happy with it and I'm comfortable shooting it at combat distances. I wouldn't be too reliable withit out to 25 yards but that's because of my skill level...not the gun. It's a ruger. It's a brick.
  21. I love my revolver. .357mag. Very versatile. HD, bullseye, steel. Picked it up used and it a great deal. That's what id pick up next I also have a 22 semi and double stacked 9
