I checked off "yes" for "have you ever been convicted of a crime that hasnt been expunged or sealed?" 15 years ago i pled guilty to throwing eggs at a car. 2 months ago i received a change of address for my fid and a pistol permit as well, bought my handgun with no difficulties. Is this something i should be woried about? The counter man kind of got huffy about it. I know its on my record because when i applied for my pistol permit the detective called me and asked about it, and said it was ok and issued my permit The other guy at the counter told him he was wrong and to put it through I checked "yes" because i figured it is better to be honest and not lie. As a cz75 owner i can tell you its a lot easier to A) order 10 round mags from cz-usa.com B) order 15 round mags from cdnn The 15 round "factory magazines" from cdnn work flawlessly, and the 10 round magazines from cz-usa are perfect as well (just clean them when you get them, cz likes to pack everything in a horrible grease) Also, being legal and unpinned means you can remove the baseplates for cleaning, etc

Creepy yes, innapropriately attired yes (dress slacks vneck sweater vest and button up (but what is "appropriate attire? I don't think you have to be wearing a kevlar helmet and bdu's to go to the range either)), and at rtsp you have to wait for a port in the small store area so everyone has their range bag and safety stuff all over themselves. Granted this could have been some everyday joe totally harmless like I said in my original post, something just rubbed me wrong about him, what he was asking, and how he was asking about it. I was at rtsp yesterday morning, waiting in line for a port, when some guy came up to me with no shooting equipment (eyes, ears, firearm, bag, etc) and started asking really weird questions about out of state ccw's and if I knew any "off the grid" places to shoot in nj or nyc. I shrugged off all of his questions but it was really weird to have some random guy with a daily news tucked under his arm asking all sorts of seemingly random questions about skirting gun laws. Now I'm a completely legitimate law abiding person and this just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm kind of hoping he was just some wackjob, but it scares me that he might have been a reporter or something actively seeking wackjobs to fuel some anti article or something. Maybe I'm just getting tin foil hatty about everything that's going on. Just wanted to vent

Seems just legit enough, but would probably still bite the seller in the ass later. I'm sketchy on gun sales to and from anyone except an ffl, just for these reasons
