  1. Your Welcome! if you looking for a rifle - call me. i have several in stock, and a few on the way in maybe we have something you can use, ready to shoot..........
  2. There are several ways to go about it but in general the Flash Hider is Illegal only when mounted on a Semi Auto Rifle. The Upper assy is not considered a Rifle so you are not in violation of any laws in New Jersey. However, if you were to mount that upper on a lower, then you would be in violation of the law. As long as the shipper has no problems with it - have them ship the upper to you directly, then remove the FH and get yourself a good quality Muzzle Break. (Ebay, JSE Surplus, ect.). Take the upper & your break to your dealer, gunsmith, ect. and have it pined and then you can mount it with no worries. Not sure where you are located; but we pin barrels - so if your anywhere near lacey Twp you can give me a call and we can get you set-up. Good Luck! JT
  3. Holy Crap - 4-6 months? If it were me, I would send an e-mail to Chief Karin DiMichele [email protected] and ask her why it takes so long? Here in Lacey Twp, we get them in around 6-9 weeks; and I have to say i get so many that mine get turned around closer to the 6 week mark.
  4. O.K. - I stand corrected on the multi cal. compatability. I still would rather shoot .38/.357 over the .32 / .327 but that is just me.........
  5. I think if you do a little reading you may find that the .327 mag. is what some may call a Super mag and is intended to have the punch of a .357 in a smaller casing to allow 6-shooters to have the fire power of the 5-round .357 small frame revolvers. If it were me - I would opt for the more popular .357 as I can always shoot .38 spl if I so desire. I do not think you can chamber any other cal. with the .327
  6. As for the OP - the $18.00 fee (Money Order) is for the NJ State police to do the initial backround check and has been in place for years - nothing new there. 4-6 weeks for HG permit is about average in the best of times. Before Newtown, many municipalities were taking that long or even longer - seems to be more prevalent in North jersey for some reason. Remember that first the letters need to be mailed to your two references, and they need to get them back to the PD. Then the the Mental Health & NJSP checks are initiated and then once everything comes back, the permits are typed and usually sit on the captain or chief's desk for a week waiting to be signed. I personally know of people in North Jersey who have waited 2-3 months for permits, so try to be optimistic about 4-6 weeks........................
  7. When a NICS check is sent in (old days when called in - today Faxed in) we have to note weather it is a HG, LG or BOTH - according to NICS this is strictly for statistical record keeping. i assure you there is no delay in the process for a HG over a LG - the check is for the person, not the gun...........
  8. NICS checks do not take any longer for HG's than the LG's Many times the additional delays could (And I say this w/o pointing any fingers) be on the FFL dealer due to volume of business, and getting replies sorted out and getting back to customers..............
  9. If you are more than 7 days (not including Sunday - then you need to have your FFL call and verify they actually rcvd. the NICS check in the first place. As of Tuesday - NICS was at 7 days and the times are coming down
  10. Ruger will issue you (by e-mail) a UPS N/D shipping label that you can print out and if you pack the gun properly and take it to one of the UPS hubs - they will accept it for shipment It would be up to Ruger as to weather or not they will ship it directly back to you. There is no NJ Statue (That I know of) that prevents private shipments BUT the ATF has rules about shipping firearms to individuals.
  11. NICS is currently running approx. 7 days Your FFL should call NICS and ask for the status - i would bet the fax was either lost or not transmitted - jmo
  12. I went an picked up 5 for myself The guy would not give me the $10.00 price unless I bought 10 units and I don't need that many. If anyone is in the Lacey Twp / Jersey shore area and needs an ammo can (I have one or two extra) I'll sell it for the $15.00 I paid for it.
  13. An average price on a Beretta 92D is somewhere around $350.00 - $375.00 again, depends upon the condition. That being said - a guns worth is not judged by the opinion of those who do not like it (shooters who don't care for DOA guns) but by those who like that sort of action. The 92D was a very well made gun, shoots accurate (in general) but does have the typical long trigger pull of a DOA gun. I see M&P shields going for $350.00 - $400.00 as well so I cannot say one is worth more than the other - just depends the buyers preference..................... JMO JT
  14. The dovetail on the LPA is wider than that on a Novak so the slide needs to be welded and re-cut (expensive) I had the same issues on my Springfield V12 Loaded which has the LPA on it - I wanted to install a laser Lite and it's just too costly. Possibly cheaper to replace the slide than to all the welding & re-machining but that would be your call...................... Good Luck!
  15. Please show us what you can get at Wal-Mart for $80.00..................
  16. Have you looked here: http://www.yourrcstore.com/tanks.html The German Tiger 1 with Smoke & sound and the Metal track & gear upgrade is a deal at $149.00
  17. Look Here: http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Search.htm?s=59a Your welcome! lol
  18. What I got out of it was that HE would play it safe and ere on the side of caution. But that is just me.........................
  19. Not all FFL's charge a lot of money for their services. I (for example) only charge $25.00 + NICS but this isn't about me, it's about people who throw mud because they are unhappy with the system. I would think a customer would want to establish a relationship with his/her dealer and not base every decision solely on the bottom line cost of a particular firearm. I have many customers who ask for favors, spl requests, ect. and the regulars get treated like friends / family - Do you get that when you travel out of state for your gun? I think not!
  20. Thank You Greg! You are the type of customer that makes the gun business worthwhile. It was a pleasure to meet the Mrs. and look forward to doing more business in the future! Have a Great Holiday Weekend.......................
  21. Lead nose is o.k. for bolt & lever guns but some Semi-Auto do not like it. Don't jump just to get .22 ammo - if you have a semi-auto try to get copper plated - jmo
  22. I was at Dicks in Freehold 3 days ago and I bought 3 333 count of 22's with no questions asked...................
  23. I don't see any gun Shows listed for Delaware for tomorrow! Where did you find this listed??????
