Yes they are fine in NJ. Nit much benefit to em here since you cant use a suppressor but the barrels are legal.

As long as its legal in nj its the same as buying any other long gun and bringing it home.

Well thats unfortunate and Im sorry it all went down that way. When we spoke he did say that there were a few people upset at the way he handled it and he would do online posting different in the future, but no one else had just outright offered to pay for it so he sold it to me. I have no.affiliation with him other than buying this pistol but I got the impression he will do future postings on an "I will take it" basis.

Im no expert but when I was reviewing 1911's for ccw it seemed the shortest barrel length that still offered 100% reliability was 4.25". Thats why all the higher end brands dont offer 1911s in shorter barrel lengths. So anything under that like the 3" defender would be a no go for me. I will say that even a commander 1911 is a hefty piece to carry and that should be a consideration. Of the two I would take the hk45c to carry for sure. Lighter weight, great ergo, accurate. That being said I love 1911s and an ed brown kobra carry stainless is going to be purchased when my next batch of permits are in. Will I carry it? No I live in NJ and I have a shield to carry in free states.

Here is exactly what happened: I sent him a pm on FB as soon as I saw it (Tuesday) saying that I wanted to buy his Python and if not sold I would call him immediately with my cc info. He responded that no one had claimed it and he would contact me the next day (Wed) to pay for it. I paid for it and that was it. Sorry for any bad blood, but I didn't see any "I will take it" or anything else so I took a chance at paying on the spot for it.

I have multiple rmr01s on handguns. Great for their purpose but wouldnt use for a rifle/shotgun. Having shot a ksg recently I would use an eotech or something similar as I think.its reticle is best suited for your purpose.
