  3. I use Dr Keyes in lacey. Shes awesome!
  4. Was in same class, referred a few ppl to them. Looks like they are still up and running but focusing on first aid/fire classes. http://www.alphaomegatrainingsolutions.com/upcoming-courses.html
  5. Pics? I have one in my living room. They are very nice and a think a good value for a hand tufted rug.
  6. After our chat the other day at the range it made me think about the Shield I have for carry out of state. While I agree with your point about being able to hold the hammer (especially on a V2 or V1) making you secure for holstering, after holstering/drawing/re holstering the shield I think I am confident no ND's will happen. As with anything practice is going to be key, and anyone who decides to own a firearm should resolve themselves to be proficient with it. Do I see a class on proper handgun draw/fire/holster coming to a range near us?? BTW I used your tips this week and did find I had better control, despite needing to adjust my trigger finger somewhat
  7. Am I missing the link for ~.40/rd shipped? The ones I see are around .50 before shipping for 308
  8. Grabbed a few, hoping to get a Tula. Thanks!

  10. I wouldnt let ppl at my stuff on a public range either. Not that a private range insulates you completely but having to shell out $$$ plus passing a safety course makes me feel a bit better about those shooting beside me.
  11. This, I have no problem letting people fondle/shoot my stuff at the range. I feel like shooting on a private range insulates you a little bit from idiots. Anything long gun is fair game bc those guns/optics are all built to take a beating even if they are expensive. I did wince when a guy dropped my 16s but there werent any marks so no harm no foul. Expensive pistols Im more careful about. If you arent close to me personally anything north of 1k isnt going into your hand. Not gona ruin the finish on a collectable bc a stranger drops it on concrete.
  12. Im waiting on the mk47 mutant to be available. Only ak.variant thats piqued my interest in a while.
  13. Sry duno why it didnt accept the link. I hate this new tapatalk update
  14. I will just leave this right here... http://patch.com/new-jersey/tomsriver/pine-beach-police-officer-suspended-after-shooting-friend-leg
  15. It seems the mp triggers are hit or miss. My mp9c trigger is pretty good after 500 or so rds of breaking in.
  16. Tony - Wish you, Jeff, and the other partners the best of luck at the new venture. Its been a pleasure working with you over the past few years and I cant wait to join your new range.
  17. The finish isn't what you have to be worried about, its the PITA mag release at the bottom of the mag well IMO wait for a good deal on a local used 92FS. I bought one like new (literally no wear at all) for $300 just a few months ago.
  18. Forgot about my gsg5. As mentioned that thing was a b***h to take down and clean. Kinda surprised so many ppl didnt like the 92. Its def not my favorite gun but I have found it to be reliable, accurate, and pretty easy to shoot.
  19. I was thinking about this today, how I have bought several things over the past few years without shooting them first. When I got to the range and shot them all I could think was - why the f did I just spend the money on this... Obviously this is subjective to personal taste but I am curious what guns you guys have bought that you just outright hated. Here are a few of mine: 1 - HK USC carbine - One of these popped up locally and I had always thought they were really neat so I bought it. When I got it home it felt cheap to me. Even though all the polymer and internals were well constructed I just didn't get a quality feel to it. I also was not able to get a comfortable grip on the rifle due to the shape of the stock. When I got it to the range I felt it kicked like a mule and the accuracy wasn't exemplary even at 50yds. I do get why a UMP would be a cool gun to have, but the USC is a far cry from the FA UMP. 2 - Taurus CT carbine - Same issue as above not being able to get a good grip on the rifle due to the fixed stock. Mags are proprietary and can't be found. The rail as I recall was plastic and would get torn apart taking optics on/off. 3 - POF P308 - Great looking rifle, factory trigger was excellent, fit and finish were good. My gripe is that the upper sits higher off the stock than a standard rifle and you either need a cheek riser or ultra low rings to get a good sight picture through a scope or dot. 4 - IWI baby eagle in 40sw. I know people love these guns but I felt that the recoil was unmanageable compared to other 40sw handguns I own and I had consistent issues with all of the mags I had for it. It was also heavy as a brick. 5 - Sig Mosquito. Enough said I imagine. Pain in the ass to clean due to the fixed barrel and it was a jam o matic. This last one wasn't a problem with the gun, rather my lack of paying attention. I bought a 50 beowulf ar/ammo package without realizing that I can't shoot it at my range On the flip side things I bought without shooting and fell in love with: p226, cz sp01, Tavor, SCAR 17, Noveske ar's Sooooo, what do you wish you never purchased....
  20. Def a keeper. Thats a sweet 1911.

    Got me an MP5 clone

Worse ways to drop 2k. Gota pay to play. These can also be sbr'd if/when you decide to move to free america.
  22. Ed Brown Kobra Carry. Picked it up off a forum member this am. Fantastic 1911. On the opposite end of that spectrum I also paid for a Diamondback DB9 FS the other day that was surprisingly noce for the price. That and a shiny new 586 are waiting for me once 30 and 60 days are up.
