  1. Finally got around to it and took and passed my bow test at Clinton WMA today. Just wanted to give kudos to the staff that ran the test. They made it a very informative and enjoyable couple of hours. Tom V. administered the proficiency portion and was very helpful and more than willing to give assistance and tips when needed. The guy with the wicked beard (forgot his name but I think he's Deerslayer's buddy) did a nice PowerPoint with a lot of inside tips and real world knowledge. All in all a very much worthwhile experience for anyone interested in getting their license. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

  5. Yeah airline pilots get Federal Flight deck officer credentials through the Air Marshals i believe States have nothing to do with it as I think the permit only works while flying
  6. Eagles D better than Jets...thats a stretch there my friend..good yes but dont let your obsession with Tom Lady and hate for the Jets cloud your better judgement.
  7. Just tell them you are contacting customer care and that usually gets them motivated...Im surprised about Freehold Toyota though..ive serviced 3 toyotas through them and they have always been very good about covering things under warranty..even items in gray areas..I'll let the mechanics on here(1ltcap) chime in about uneven wear although it doesnt sound normal to me
  8. The TRS25 has been great to me..4 years of moderate use ..still hold zero and still in original battery...is it an Aimpoint?..nope but for $300 less its a nice alternative
  9. Finally got up there today..roofing cemented the daylights out of my vent pipes..ironically most had cracked rubber boots but werent leaking yet..They should get me through till I do roof next year. Another thing I tried on my radon vent pipe was the Permaboot. Ins tallation was stupid easy and it looks.like it will last a long time. It will definitely fix any rubber boot leak issues although underlying flashing issues might need more attention. $19.00 at HD. http://permaboot.co A big thanks to my NJGF bretheren for your help, suggestions and offers of assistance.
  10. What magnification are you guys using at 600+?...I feel inferior with the 3-9 Leupy on my SPR..
  11. Thanks all for the offers and suggestions..Im planning on doing the roof next spring so i was looking to just get through the winter..im waiting for this wind to die down a bit to get up there and get a good look but from inside it definitely looked like a rotted out rubber seal...keep you guys posted.. Thx again
  12. Ok so found a wet spot on the first floor of my house tonight. Went up into the attic and found water is getting in around one of the plumbing vent pipes and following the pipe down. Seems the rubber boot sorround the pipe wore out and cracked. So when this sh!+ weather finally clears out and I can get on the roof my question is would a good slobbering of roofing cement around the pipe suffice or putting something like a Perma Boot on be the better option. I dont want to start pulling shingles as the roof is 21 years old and due for replacement in a bit so replacement of the whole flashing/boot setup is out if i can avoid it
  13. Have done both Bermuda and Canada..trip out to Bermuda last time was full blown rocking and rolling..people barfing everywhere..not fun..so Canada might be a good choice if it means calmer seas..either way hoping the best for ya!

  18. Pete Aiello of BPG..just used him on a purchase..thorough, knowledgeable, takes the time to explain everything to you..not the cheapest but not the most expensive either
  19. Just put the safe in an unfinished part of my basement...basement is dry.. Temp is showing 68 degrees and humidity topped out at 60%...should I be worrying about corrosion or am I ok in this range?
  20. For guys like me who dont reload and shoot factory loads the non adjustable gas block works fine and will run normally without any tinkering..for those who roll their own ammo and develop specific loads for their purpose then the adjustable gas block becomes valuable..the free float handguard theoretically takes any interference the HG might have oj the barrel out of play
  21. I went Rainier 18" Match with rifle gas system..run a regular gas block..runs fine and more accurate than I could ever be..
  22. Welcome to the forums..seems like youre off to a great start
