  1. No symbolic gesture is going to work on Reich Marshall Sweeney, or Matilda the Hun. The only way to effect change is to play dirtier politics than they play. I don't see how that is possible, as between the state senate, and assembly Dems, they haven't even an ounce of moral fiber. I would prefer to see them led out in cuffs.
  2. Besides, Bill Clinton would stare with that creepy uncle look on his face for a long time in a room full of Cheerleaders. No Quick scans there...
  3. What does the amount of vacation days have to do with attending a funeral? Perhaps I missed the part where someone said something about vacation? If you're inferring that the potential golf day is a vacation day, well here ... We really don't even know if he has a golf day planned, just a swag because of what his spokesman said. The complaints about his golf days are not about the amount, they are about the timing. He's a classless asshole for skipping things like funerals and observances to go golfing. Besides, according to Michael Jordan, he sucks anyway. So he sucks at golf, he sucks at being a president, and he's a callous douche nozzle. Personally I hope he has a rare moment of clarity and decides to attend the funeral, but only because it's the right thing to do, not because I don't want him to play golf, hell as far as I'm concerned he can take the rest of his term off, the more time he's out, the less damage he can do. Same with Congress. http://obamagolfcounter.com/
  4. Wouldn't it be better for him to be on the golf course, than to soil the funeral of a good man, with the stench of disgrace president golf cart has become known for?
  5. Actually that is exactly what was being suggested, not by you, and I tend to agree that proper training is essential in safely carrying a firearm. Admittedly I did not feel that way before I began taking training, and was astonished at how little I knew before, which was the trigger for seeking additional training. The sad truth is that in most cases the protector will show up after the incident has taken place, so his safety is initially compromised not by my acting in self defense, but by his reaction to my self defense. Nothing is fool proof, not training, or practice, and not a badge. Since I am indeed my own first responder, his personal sense of safety is secondary, and always will be. That does not in any way mean that I condone a shoot first attitude, it simply means that I take my safety and that of my family very seriously.
  6. I disagree here, a person's right to defend themselves, and their family never ends, not even in the face of your fear of their means of doing so. This is the very issue I have with some police officers, as many believe that concern for their own safety trumps that of my safety. Not all believe this, but this very notion has been expressed to me on several occasions during training. They did not feel I had the right to take the training at the same level they did. IMO that makes them the very worst kind of officer.
  7. As someone who trains(including stress and aggression training) on a regular, and ongoing basis, I sort of agree with this opinion. Although I don't think that an ordinary citizen should have the same level of training as a police officer, as an ordinary citizen will likely not run into the same frequency of violent encounters as an officer might. Given that, IMO a lower level of training is fine. Personally I'm ok with encouraging training, I learned a lot more than how to shoot and proper, safe firearm handling...ETC. that if John Q. Public wants to carry a gun then he should have the same training as a police officer and an insurance policy - and pay for it himself.
  8. I'm not trying to win the discussion, I'm trying to win the war. The greatest tool in winning any war is intelligence. I certainly understand your frustration, after all trying to talk sense to a leftist is like trying to reason with a 2 year old, they want what they want in spite of the damage they cause to get it.
  9. I'm not sure why you would block him. If, as you surmise, and his language would suggest, he is a liberal/anti 2A, and so on, wouldn't it be best to hear him out and understand where he's coming from? Isn't that what the anti constitution crowd does to us? listen, engage, understand? How do you think they keep getting their warped agenda through? They know their enemy, they understand that we are their enemy, and they treat us as such. They don't block us, they listen, and counter which is how we end up compromising and they consider not getting their entire agenda all at once a compromise. Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer, and let there be no doubt, progressives are the greatest enemy of liberty.
  10. Guns are evil, their body guards/protection details don't carry guns, that would be hypocritical, and we all know that these pillars of all that is right would never do anything to be hypocritical. <*click*> sarcasm off...
  11. Agreed! Remember! There are no stupid questions, only stupid mistakes made when you don't ask questions.
  12. I am in the middle of setting up a friend's LNL ammo plant. We picked up the powder through die and have the room we need for the powder cop. It should be working by the end of the week. Powder through expander was relatively cheap($11). I will be doing the same with my LNL as soon as I have the cash.
  13. Do a youtube search for DIY Case Feeder. Here are a couple, but there are tons of very nice DIY feeders. Some real junk as well.
  14. And the bullet feeder can be substituted with bullet tubes, and the feeder die. Much less expensive. Found the 9mm bullet tubes on Amazon for $27.
  15. Great so these 2 a-holes will be destroying both the first and second amendment at the same time.
  16. Maybe, or maybe knowing when it's time to throw in the towel. I'm a 2 issue voter. 2A, and economy. I can see the next election going dem all the way. With the senate/assembly already nearly veto proof, and the office of governor likely going to the dems, spending also has the potential of skyrocketing. This means more, and higher taxes, more giveaways to keep them in power, and so on. If you think $2m a mile for road construction and repair is a lot, just wait and see. That report should have had the vast majority of voters in the state in Trenton, with torches and pitchforks. I would be willing to bet that fully 60% of that cost goes to fund corruption. That is only one area of the spending in the state, there are so many other areas of overspending that I'm afraid to guess how much is being stolen from us every day. I have enough in bad investments here. enough is enough
  17. Yup, that will always be the problem. Until a majority of people think it's a good idea. Of course in a state where people vote themselves tax increase after tax increase, knowing full well that that money only goes to increasing the corruption that led to the need for more money to begin with, no change will take place until they have all been sucked dry by the system, and the entire house of card collapses. I guess the best bet is to just give up, and bail out. In a couple years a demorat will be in the governors mansion and the party for the left will go back into full swing. Maybe the state will get lucky and find another Florio, or McGreevey, or better yet they could reelect Corzine.
  18. Until we hold our politicians/judges/law enforcement officials DIRECTLY responsible for their ideologically driven decisions, nothing will change for the better.
  19. My guess is that most would say they left the state. That looks like the only way to legally exercise your 2A rights. This state needs an enema!!
  20. The pendulum swings both ways, and when it swings back, it's usually with frightening velocity.
  21. Sorry, this constitution you speak of is only for citizens, and illegals, not subjects of the PRNJ.
  22. We have been looking in that area as well. We went to the Fort Mill area(Tega Cay) because the schools are very good there. We met several people in the neighborhoods we looked in and most were transplants from just about everywhere. FWIW, all were very nice and said pretty much what you're thinking. Lower stress, friendly area, easy to get around. Pertty much the opposite of NJ. Overall the cost of living is lower, but depending on what kind of work you do, the salaries are lower as well. It's all relative. I have found that tech workers, and project managers tend to be closer in salary to NJ.
  23. Digital transmission...Like a T1, or ethernet, or some other circuit based technology...Perhaps?
