  1. well its been a year , any more clarification either way, if this battlecomp 1.5 will be a problem here
  2. I was doing some light reading and supposedly the single stack 9 in in the very near future.
  3. I think this is the same Sarco's but if not I apologize for the mistake. Im going to leave out some details in case the place Im going to describe still exists. In 2007 I went with a friend of mine to the Sarco's in Stirling NJ. He was interested in some used old remote control drones that the military had at one time that pulled targets. They looked like giant remote control airplanes. The "old man" presumably the owner or part of his family said. "we keep that stuff at the warehouse, you guys gotta go with him", pointing to an employee/family member. So we get in the car and drive to a HUGE old factory in a nearby town. That building was several stories tall and took up a large portion of the city block. That place had every square inch packed to the ceiling where in some places you had to move sideways through there. It was packed with every kind of rifle parts, stocks, barrel, knives gas masks I mean HOLY $%^, full. You could probably arm a small 3rd world country with what was there.. In one part I was standing next to 3 soviet mig cockpits, complete with pilot seats, controls and canopies. The person we were with said they hired pilots to fly them to an undisclosed location in Europe and then took off the wings, etc and then imported them to the US. It was a sight to see. After our business there, we get back to the store and we were told by the old man, one day Im gonna sell half of that stuff, I just don't know which half yet.. Nice enough guys but OMFG what an inventory of everything you could think off. Its was cool field trip that I will never forget and saw some stuff I will never see again.
  4. I've shot the glock 23 in both gen 3 and 4, extensively the .40 round has got some snap to it, but it is very manageable. As strange as it sounds it shot smoother with the speer 180 jhp than the 125gr frangible practice rounds, it was minor but I could tell. I am not promoting the speer but it was just what I had to shoot with. The 19 shoots very smoothly with 147 grain (my fav) and I also tried 124+p in it, No big recoil difference for me.
  5. I find the gen 4 mag release and grips to be an improvement. The fact that they are all SF(short frame) models is nice, for medium to smaller hands, the extra grips make it larger to fit your hand better if need be. Either way, either model is good to go. Recoil- I don't know, I could not feel a real difference between the two.
  6. I think I understand what you want here, but Any mag can be produced new to hold 10 rounds or less. If you mean what guns come with a greater than 10 round capacity standard, then a few come to mind. Glock 17 Glock 19 Glock 20 Glock 21 Glock 31 Glock 32 Glock 23 Glock 22 Springfield XDS FN models etc.

    Glock or M&P

I agree with high exposure, as the LEO instructor/Glock armorer for my old dept 135 guys and police academy firearms instructor, my experience ha shown me that the Glock platform is more forgiving, runs dry, dirty and damaged if need be. I certainly can appreciate and respect a great deal of other makers but between the two I am biased towards this. M&P is also a nice gun, try each if you can, its your gun , its your preference.
  8. FWIW I have treated hundreds of gunshot wounds as an EMT/ RN in the streets of Newark and Irvington. This seems like a simple concept that will probably work anywhere in the body except in the chest/ back area where the lungs are. Didn't research its just an opinion.
  9. .http://grumpyelder.com/2013/04/obama-quietly-signs-firearm-and-ammo-killswitch-order/..... Never read this site before, google search took me . there. take it for what its worth, Not even sure if its old or new. Google time frame states 22 hours old.
  10. there are a few on waterfowl, I will look through in am, The guy I got them from was a big time hunter/fisherman
  11. according to some reading I just did , yes it will be avail very soon in 308
  12. Free, all in excellent condition, too nice to throw out, wanted to try here first before I donate to a library. Thanks and enjoy.
  13. I also got the lite model. great piece, accurate, fun to shoot, I got it primarily to teach my daughters and wife to shoot. Like everyone said hold a few different models in your hand and see what feels good.
  14. Any interest in a glock 22 gen 4 with night sights, round count aprox 450 rounds.
  15. Sorry he said he kept regular firearms/ ammo and the "evil ones" in a separate books. I should have said another book instead of 3.I can only confirm he did state there was another separate book for the non compliant guns.
  16. I spoke to an FFL today and asked about this topic and without me finishing the sentence he stated "yeah we keep a 3rd book" for non compliant guns that come in. I nearly fell over. But he said it was for only the non compliant guns that go to the store. What was kind of sketchy was I wanted to get an out of state gun shipped there and made compliant. I asked if that would get logged in. There was a long pause there, and then he said it wont get logged because of the work, (pinning stock and flash hider removal) that I know will make it compliant, but he had to think about that. What I would like to know is if in the free states where most things are legal if such a third book is also kept, then that would be something to really think about.
  17. Thanks how do you like that 21?
  18. The research Ive looked at is confusing. Ive shot gen 3 sf models primarily the 30sf, it fits like a glove. I thought I read somewhere that all the new gen 4 models are all supposed to be sf frames/recievers until you add the back strap on it to make it larger. Is this true? I am particularly interested in the glock 30, 20 and 21 which are all chunkier guns and would only work for in the "SF" size frame. Any clarifications would be appreciated. Glock dealers any idea?

    Glock 20sf

That's pretty funny. I like your thinking.

    Glock 20sf

Hmmm, well that sucks. Is it a lot more kick than a 45 cal? I shoot better follow up shots with my 45 than my 40. But my 45 is the smaller Glock 30, shoots like a dream. I was kicking around the larger glock 21 also thinking recoil between that and the 10 should be around the same. I shot my brothers 10m delta many years ago, very harsh but I perceived this model 20 would absorb recoil much better. Like I said The ffl gets them in anyway, so I can switch it out if need be,

    Glock 20sf

Tossed around the glock in 357 or the 10mm for a while in my head. Made a decision and went with the 10mm and ordered one. Hopefully no buyers remorse on this one. I shoot the glock 30 in 45acp no problem and its pleasant to shoot. I am hoping this one doesn't kick like a mule or then I would not be happy. For the record I don't like the snap of the 40cal for me that's why the 22 will be for sale soon. Not too late to cancel or switch cal to 357, or even the 45 glock 21
  22. On the way out the door , but is it possible to get into something for 1000 or les for a decent scope, realistically max 300 yards. I don't know quite where to shoot it to exercise it's legs properly.
