  1. He was asked a question about Hitler, which is why he was laughing. He was a well known nazi sympathizer.
  2. Lanier most assuredly won't be "giving them out like candy" at least if she wants to keep her job. The real fly in the ointment is Congress, any law passed by the city council is a suggestion and congress gets to review it.
  3. They are going to try. Whether or not this is acceptable to the judge is a different story. They have asked for 180 day stay to enact legislation, the judge said no but he might accept a shorter stay instead.
  4. It would affect most district residents too. What bothers me the most is this rolling gun free zone around dignitaries that they are proposing.
  5. Is that the case? The numbers show a steady decline in hunting licenses. http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/pdf/license_sales70-13.pdf Nappen was saying that CCW permit holders are replacing hunters as the future of gun ownership in the USA. I would agree with him.
  6. I turn off before dinner and just quickly check before bed. I hadn't noticed.
  7. You never received mail at those addresses? Try to pull your credit report at www.annualcreditreport.com and it will list your previous addresses.
  8. So it's not really a CCW. NY doesn't issue CCWs, even NY city doesn't issue CCWs. They issue pistol permits, and they can issue them with or without restrictions. Sounds like you got one with restrictions, probably hunting and target. It's a start anyway. I know people who got their restrictions removed after about a year. But they are residents, not nonresidents.
  9. They are good for short distance comms. I see a lot of people up here with them, because cell service is spotty. Beyond that you want ham radio, but you can't do commercial stuff with it. You hear a lot of things on CB, distorted echo chambers, linears, belching, farting, barnyard noises etc. Most of the serious skip shooters are off CB and go onto the illegal freeband (11 meters). Oh, and one time I heard a strip club talking to a trucker about their available services... SSB is what you want for longer range. The classic Cobra 148GTL has it, as well as some uniden models.
  10. That's half the story. He also has a better ground plane.
  11. Still waiting for the decision on the motion to intervene for Kamala and the Bradys. Then the 9th get to decide whether to hear it en banc, which is a 90 day window. Meanwhile cases are citing it as good law. Palmer (DC carry), Silvester (10 day waiting period) come to mind. I suppose this could be part of a strategy to cement it as good case law so it's harder to overturn. It's already a well written decision.
  12. I only go to the suite. I never go to the regular seats. No magnetometers at that entrance. At least not last time I was there which was earlier this year. And no I did not carry into Yankee stadium. Not even off duty cops are allowed to carry there.
  13. Serious? If so, yay! The guy was pleasant when you met him, but I get the feeling he was ducking us. I guess the Star Ledger clipping on the notice board crowing about new gun laws passed by the assembly gave us a hint?
  14. The answer with the NJSP Sussex barracks is NO! My initial FID came in a couple of months. My last set of permits came in closer to 6 months. Plus they only take your paperwork by appointment and the Sgt is never available by phone to take your appointment.
  15. Show them a copy of the Perez decision and explain the form is illegal
  16. I thought they wanded people down and stuff? Then again I went to Yankee stadium and they just waved me through. They were more interested in my tickets and whether they were genuine and not counterfeit. Sports venues aren't really high security are they?
  17. Well yeah. If you want to work, and you're not a citizen you need a work visa or an immigrant visa or green card. Everyone from every country does. Canada is the only exception, we give them TN (NAFTA) visas at the border. But they must still have a job offer and a college degree.
  18. More affectionately known as "Bronx West." I wouldn't live there. I like NEPA close to where I live, Pike County and environs.
  19. This bill won't pass. They like the Graves' Act. I'm sure Christie does too. If not, why did he sign an enhancement to it last year?
  20. Yes they are entering illegally and staying illegally. By your logic we have CCW in NJ because shitbags are carrying. Your Israeli friend can't get a visa? Neither can most poor Mexicans. But people from most of Western Europe, Australia, NZ, Japan, Korea and Singapore can come here without a visa.
  21. True. Or I could just say it in fewer words - they never realized what a cancer radical Islam would be on their civilized society until it was way too late.
  22. Actually the only nationalities having problems are Mexico, mainland china and Philippines. This is because they send so many people here that they put a quota on them while the rest of the world is only subject to category limits. In fact if you are from the PI expect your application to be gone over with a fine tooth comb because of rampant fraud and mail order brides. A friend of mine married a Filipina and had no end of trouble getting her a green card. Eventually I helped him through our local congressional office and she got through.
