EVERY Bill made it out of committee. Now they will be voted on by the Assembly then goto the Senate then to Christie's desk for signing. IMHO meet with your Assembly people now. Then meet with your Senate members. Start calling Christie's office now.

Making an argument for Corruption...
deerpark replied to Metalflames's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Corruption? In NJ? No way!? Forget about the fact that one of the committee members introduced one of the Bills. No conflict of interest there... Just wow. -
Where is the meeting, time and place if possible.

Quality prices on Armslist!
deerpark replied to NicePants's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
I look for good deals but I dont mind paying more if its something I want. I compare the current market to gold and silver. For the longest time, gold was $400 and silver $5. I dont think we'll ever see those prices again. Gun prices have already come down off their highs but I think the $650 ARs are a thing of the past.- 7 replies

Agreed. This isnt about "us" vs "them" (not for me anyway). Its about right vs wrong. Everyone is against violent crimes with or without guns. NJ's crime problem (when guns are used) has nothing to do with legally obtained firearms. NJ's problem is the use of illegally obtained guns by people who shouldn’t have them. They cant even stop drugs and ALL drugs are illegal. Yet they think they can stop the illegal purchase of guns (which are legal in every state)? Come on.

Is there a particular brand or model of AR which tends to be NJ compliant right out of the box?

Does anyone remember the representative who hosted the Ron Paul rally in Trenton last year? I would think that he would be very pro 2nd amendment. -
Whats the purpose of placing a pen in the trigger?
deerpark replied to deerpark's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Seriously? Or are you just saying that to make me feel better? -
On forums like these, everyone supports the 2nd Amendment. IMHO, we need to reach out to those who are opposed to it, both groups and individuals. Most of us are familiar with the talking points: gun control doesnt work, these laws only serve to disarm law abiding citizens, etc. Not much member activity here but we could change that: https://www.facebook...?_fb_noscript=1 Per this article (http://www.nj.com/hu..._gun_contr.html), Mandi Perlmutter, is from the NJ chapter. I may reach out to some of the people in this piece: http://articles.phil...n-gun-proposals Derp. Ever talk to someone from JC, Camden or Newark? I have, and theyre very receptive to polite conversation. A point which really seems to resonate with them is in regards to illegal drugs. While guns are legal, ALL drugs are illegal, yet anyone can obtain them... Any other groups or individuals that we could approach?

Does anyone happen to know the breakdown of Republicans vs Dems in the legislature? The lists on the NJ website are not complete. -
NJ Bill S2430 – WE NEED ACTION NOW TILL THE VOTE!!!
deerpark replied to NJCK's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
It may not be feasible to visit the State house but it takes barely any effort to call these reps. Let them know that you are a registered voter and that you are opposed to this Bill. As far as establishing a "commission" and creating another bureaucracy, we already have a "commission", two in-fact: the state Senate and General Assembly... -
I'm a novice. Is this a good price? What else is needed to have a "complete" lower?

I'm against over-regulation but this will just serve as another incentive to shop in Delaware (if youre close enough) or to pay with cash. Banks already get enough fees.
