  1. Part of the problem is that they are trying to change the laws that might be a benefit to our society. First they want to give driver's licenses to undocumented people. Oh, wait, first they have several places that are using driver licenses to register them to vote. As many of these are dependent upon governmental assistance programs (SNAP, or what's previously known as food stamps), rental assistance, financial aid, etc., they are encouraged to put these votes to the Democratic party, thus keeping those in positions that are actually contrary to the views WE tend to have. I'm not usually one to be a conspiracy theorist, but hmmmm,,, Oopsie, my soapbox just broke.
  2. I had a pretty damn good time yesterday, even with the cold wind. Had a chance to learn some stuff, shared my 20 gauge with some folks, even got to try a couple of other's sweet firearms, and saw some fine pieces of hardware. OH, YEAH, I even hit a couple of the clays!!! The 70 year-old semi with the recoiling barrel especially impressed me! Thanks for explaining it to me. The gent with the Tri Star semi-auto 20 Ga. may have just added that one to my shopping list, my wife is gonna hate you!!! I wish I could remember the names of all those I talked to,,,,,,,,,,but! Everyone I chatted with was very nice to the newbie, thanks. malice4you, Thanks for all the pics! I'd really benefit from seeing names to associate with them! I gather it was you wearing the black hat with "Malice" on it,,, Me, 345Sire, was the short little guy with the yellow hat, thanks to all who took a minute! The rest of you, I'll try to say hi to next time!
  3. Knowing HOW to read, ( ie. NY Post), doesn't ensure comprehension. That's why my English lessons in high school were called "reading AND comprehension", they were supposed to teach both. Of course, that was 45 years ago,,,,,,,,,who knows what gets taught these last 2 decades. More like "common sense" free zone.
  4. At 400 or 500 rpm, you betcha! That DOES mean rounds per minute, right? Remember, Milwaukee invented the Sawzall, one of the most fearful weapons ever. Makes sawed off shotguns, and back in 'Nam there was the highly effective S.A.W. !!
  5. No, look at the numbers, man,,,,,,a glock 21 is more than 25% MORE scary than the AR. 15 VS 21, get it now? (sarcasm switch turned back off)
  6. Anything with a trigger. Oh oh, my Paslode just made the banned list.
  7. I can bring a pop up without sides, and a couple tarps we could add to it,,,,,,,,???
  8. I get ya, really, but accuracy matters more in the hardware than here.
  9. Then by all means, please add me to the list. I'll be the short ugly chunky fella. (tho that may match more than one member here, I'd wager. )
  10. I could bring a pallet of clays, it wouldn't help my looks unless I melted them down and covered myself with the goo. Is it too late for a newbie to add his name to the list? I just found out a family thing was cancelled, making the day open for me. (Will bring clays )
  11. I stand corrected. I guess they DO do at least a smidge for us now and then. Thanks for the clarification. Obviously you have been able to keep up with things better than I have, and I do appreciate the input. I was always of the opinion that the no-fly lists were painfully poorly developed, explained, or fairly applied. Since one can be added to it at anytime, and without recourse (in most cases) and so called "mistakes" are all but impossible to get corrected, one can hardly accept the idea of summarily being added to another denial list merely due to inclusion on that one. I'm glad others on here keep better informed than I. It helps to have another easy to find info source like this one.
  12. Think about the glue guns, that use the sticks of glue that melt and harden. Seems pretty permanent, but!! Worst case scenario a heat gun can soften it enough to work things apart. Just don't go crazy using lots and lots of it. Not a lawyer but a renovations guy who's used these and other attachment products for a long time.
  13. You nailed it, all right. 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. it gets to be a PIA. Especially westbound. As someone else mentioned, from the flagship on down, but it often backs up to the Parkway overpass. I have to travel on it almost every day. Sometimes I wish I were driving a demolition derby car. Or put big fat tires along the perimeter like some boats do for bumpers.
  14. Dear Santa, All want for Xmas is a 2A friendly governor.
  15. I got my Hi-Point last year, 9mm, gently used and have only put about 850 rounds thru it, but it has been pretty good for me, only 3 fails. 1 fail to eject and 2 fail to feeds. Magazine lips seem to occasionally be reported as needing tweaking. I'll find that out at my next trip to the range. The rifle is a little on the heavy side, not bad but you can tell. Ugly, yeah, it isn't a streamlined thing of beauty. But it shoots pretty good, accuracy is fine for a pistol caliber carbine, 100 yard hits are 3-5" groupings with stock iron sights, but my eyes are 60 plus years old. Took it apart once, when I first got it, and yeah it's more than a 2 minute breakdown, but if you RTFM it's not difficult. And as someone mentioned, it's not needed too often. I liked it's price/performance ratio enough that I just recently got their 9C pistol, and it's ugly too, in my view, but aside from being heavy it's given a good accounting of itself. 200 shots, 2 fail to feeds, again the forum mentions mag lips. I was using cheapo white box ammo. https://www.hipointfirearmsforums.com/forums/ Plenty of info here, and a good gang of people. Oh, yeah, warranty policy is up there with the best of them!!!!! Even burned up in fires! Look in there for the comments about the warranty, you won't regret the time looking.
  16. They haven't jumped in on any of the other stuff affecting people who are suffering from anti 2A discrimination.
  17. My first instinct is to say "No WAY!!!" Can't happen, this is AMERICA!" Then I think for a moment about all the nonsensical crap these bleeping people have already shoved down our throats,,,,,,,,,,I'm sure our esteemed (koff koff) guvnah Murphy will jump at the chance to back this. I'm torn between thanking you for alerting us about this, and wanting to play ostrich.
  18. Good luck in the new spot, we can always use another local user friendly outlet.
  19. I take it the sheriff didn't suggest cowering in the closet. Lock and Load, S. Carolinians(?) !
  20. Did she really want to offer southern hospitality? After she pulled the trigger, she might have said "Have some sun tea with these bullets, won't you?" Good for her. She has kids who might have, along with herself, been seriously harmed.
  21. Is there any legislation that criminalizes throwing steak knives off an overpass at pedestrians walking below? That ought to be the next bill the Judiciary Committee send to the Senate and Assembly. (or is it the ASSembly?)
  22. Depending on the volume of stuff you need to get rid of, consider the Bagster. Approx 4' x 8' x 3', it's usually about 1/3 or 1/2 the cost of a typical roll off unit. If you have a lot of stuff, it's not quite as cost effective or simple. https://thebagster.com/default.aspx I have used it several times, and so have some of my customers. Haven't heard negatives from them so far. Just have to make sure there's clearance above for them to pick it up.
  23. Are you implying that the "fugin natives" are unable to think of anything other than feeding themselves? Careful, that kind of thinking isn't "politically correct". It may be true, but you ain't allowed to say it in mixed company. (sheesh, I wish ya wuzz)
