  1. damn, and that guy is not in Broadway?
  2. say, are state workers still working? Not heard a peep on that.
  3. https://funnels.mycrisisgear.com/news/101/glaser_v1/?tid=NSRA&cid=NSRA|329|GL&utm_expid=.cwUI9u9WS6a6iuNs0CMwUQ.0&utm_referrer= I have no idea if this is any good, but for $25 (including shipping), might be worth a try.
  4. No, W2, but heavy travel by car from jobsite to jobsite (previously deductible) prior to 2018
  5. So I see a number of houses sporting a large, red star on the siding/garage/etc. Sort of like this: Does it have a meaning? Or just a decoration? Many houses have this in the area.
  6. Loss of deductions costs me over $10,000 per year in refunds. Car mileage, other work-related expenses...yay.
  7. I think you meant suspend, not suspect, but I see your point. I too would want access to my property regardless. But if they go cleaning out the TP and water like elsewhere, I would be pissed as a full-time resident. The stores don't normally place stock orders very large in low season, I would guess. Tap water is perfectly fine there. And for washing your butt too! lol.
  8. Interesting point about LBI....there is exactly one supermarket on the island. If all of the migrants move in and make a run on the stock, the place will be devoid of anything. There are a few little podunk general stores sprinkled about, but the other large stores are well over the bridge. Block the bridge and nobody gets in or out. Maybe they can live on self-caught bluefish and crabs. Or seaweed. The year-round residents must be happy as clams to have so much company in the off-season. (pun intended) Would be fun to see an I Am Legend scene in NYC about now.
  9. My consulting gigs went into the mist. So I went to Wally World yesterday and they hired me on the spot. Pay is lousy, but full medical and vacation time accrual from day 1. Amazon is hiring like mad as well, but only if you enjoy being whipped.
  10. I can tell you from experience that the Grand Cherokee makes for a very poor boat in seawater. Don't ask me how I know this.
  11. I picked up aa carbine in 40 not long ago. The SW but I forget the model name. Anyway, I already had a Berretta 9 in both pistol and carbine, which makes it easier to manage stock because they take the same magazine. I figured the 40 might be a change of pace, but found out tooo late that extra magazines are very difficult to find, so I sort of abandoned that path. The licensing process is such a pain in the ass, I would likely settle on a 45 if I was inclined to go through it again. Edit: Maybe it isn't a SW...I cant recall the maker.
  12. My sister-in-law is a high mukkety muck at a hospital chain...she had 30 nurses call out sick. They already have a full load of patients. I suspect many of them showed up because they got the sniffles, to be honest. But they still take a bed and nurse attention. Anyway, if anyone needs groceries, especially produce, there is a place called Farmers Club on Rt130 in East Windsor. It is a real store with limited groceries, but most of the floor space is fresh produce. Fully stocked today. I needed potatoes yesterday and went to shoprite...they had exactly one potato. One. This place place has them topped up to the ceiling. Plus you can buy a 2-foot cactus branch. Most of the shoppers are from the local SA immigrant community, so it isn't popular with the soccer moms and elderly that hit the shoprite.
  13. Not sure if I should spray it on a full ham as is, or carve off the meat and then spray? Obviously it works for sliced deli ham, but not sure about the large chunks. Any experience?
  14. White castle sends me to the loo. But they taste so good.
  15. Just 2 weeks ago, the wife questioned me about why we have 30 days of food packs. Ha!
  16. The inbred part stems from the habit of breeding for fighting. I adopt chows, so big dogs dont scare me. But one visit to the Trenton shelter was enough to get in the car and drive away. Pits are not any more violent than a poodle. It's the backstory that matters. I have had a rescue chow who scared a trainer into hiding behind a step ladder He went back The other 8 or so over the years have been perfect pets.
  17. Thanks to JT for an excellent transaction, as always.

  18. Jack, , the pits are inbred by design
  19. Man, my spellcheck took over. I wrote Burger King in the title
