  1. You had to do the Depends gag, didn't you?
  2. I really, really hope you are not a Terry Pratchett fan and "Binky" means something completely different to you. http://wiki.lspace.org/mediawiki/Binky I think I'm safe as Sandy has set the precedent of knowing the forfeit before accepting the challenge. I hope it will be many, many years before I find myself wearing an adult diaper.
  3. Thanks Lalo. One week to go so here's a last bump before the big day. Sign up here if you want a spot: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/introduction-to-shooting-idpa-tickets-17889121845

  5. Bump. 2 weeks to go. Sign up soon if you want a place in this class, please. I need to know how many people to expect.
  6. Similar thing here. I have a Newton address because that's where the mail is sorted but my FPID application is handled by NJSP because Stillwater doesn't have a township PD.
  7. You don't have to have an OWB holster. IWB are allowed too.
  8. When FPID and/or permits are processed by NJSP rather than town police the permits are generated at NJSP HQ in Trenton, not the local barracks, I'm told.
  9. So I handed in my forms to Sgt. Hollar yesterday. I had already done the online background check the week before so he already had that back. He called my references within 2 hours so I'm really pleased with his diligence. He'd did warn me that it could take a few months because of delays in Trenton. It's been a good experience so far.
  10. Not always. I have seen some, can't remember the brand, but was the equivalent of a gas check with the back of the jacket holding it in place.
  11. Sure, why not? BUG is now a regular division. You're allowed 3 spare mags on your belt, not just 2. You are making it harder for yourself though. I'd go with a full sized pistol to start of you have one.
  12. TMJ has been around for ages. Most FMJ is open at the base so lead can be evaporated during firing. TMJ has the base covered too. Speer has a clean fire version of Lawman that uses TMJ.
  13. Sorry, not this time. Maybe later in the year.
  14. I am going to run another Introduction to IDPA class like the ones I did last year. The date will be August 15th and we'll be using the special events bays at Easton Fish & Game as before. If you're interested in IDPA and want to learn the basic rules and techniques in a friendly, low stress environment, please sign up. Please note, IDPA is not for novice shooters. There is a lot to think about other than manipulating your firearm so I ask that you have at least 1 year's shooting experience. Here's where to sign up: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/introduction-to-shooting-idpa-tickets-17889121845 Cheers, Stu.
  15. One of the guys in the office commented on these pants the other day. He said I looked militant. Lol
  16. It seems Sgt. Hollar is stationed at Augusta Barracks in Sussex now. I have an appointment to see him on Thursday.
  17. The title of this thread goes to the creation of the DE at all. It's one of the most useless handguns in the world.
  18. There are still plenty of spaces open for the Somerset IDPA match this Sunday, July 19th. Match fee is $10 and includes 2 slices of pizza for lunch. Reserve your place at http://www.somersetidpa.com/matches
  19. "The wonderful thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from" - a quote from work.
  20. Congratulations, Bob. Please pass it on to Drew and his wife too. A piece of advice I was given by my Mum when I had my first - Keep her on a short leash. It's far easier to let it out than to pull it back in.
