  1. I have an Android with Google Pay. I unlock the phone (I use fingerprint scanner, PIN will also work, or Face if phone has it); hold the phone to the pump and that's it. Faster than swipe or chip. I do not give phone to attendant.
  2. I know the jockeys were not responsible this time. It doesn't matter. I don't want them touching my truck at all.
  3. The Wawa near work recently installed chip readers at the pump; the "tap and pay" option was disabled at the time. I never give card to gas jockeys; I get out of my vehicle and watch them, or do it myself if they don't get there fast enough.
  4. Because you do not have criminal intentions.
  5. Summary of toxicology reports announced. No surprises. https://nj1015.com/driver-significantly-impaired-when-porsche-landed-on-2nd-floor-tox-report/
  6. Once again Mrs. Peel nails it perfectly. Someone brought Kobe up to me yesterday, I gave him a blank stare. He says, "I guess you don't follow the news?"; I reply "No, I do, I know he died and who he is, I just don't see how it impacts my life. Did you know him? If so, my condolences." The volunteer firefighter that gets out of bed at 2am answering the call for aid and going into horrific conditions deserves the respect and adoration celebrities are given, not the other way around. That is just one example, I'm not intentionally leaving out the scores of other groups of people that are much more valuable in a real way to society. I have seen Kobe was active in charities, and it is likely there will be a loss felt in that regard. I just don't understand the rest.
  7. I do not think I have ever had a shop ask me for any ID to handle a firearm. If that is the company policy, so be it I would likely show them, they want to make any copies to just look/handle, no thanks. They try to BS me with it being the law, no thanks. I can see a greater desire for a shop to want to see a DL & FID to rent a firearm. But require ID (show me your papers) to handle an unloaded firearm two feet away from the employee/clerk? Car dealerships don't even ask for a DL until you want to actually drive the vehicle.
  8. I like it when they eat their own. Google "felicia sonmez"
  9. Just watched. Agree wholeheartedly to the above statement. Un-effing-believable.
  10. Bumping this up in case it was missed; very important question and one I'd like to know the answer to as well.
  11. Lifetime is too much at once for me, so I did Premium. I've heard about GOA. Also a NRA lifetime (when they were running a sale on it), but have not given anything since. WTF would I donate money for Wayne's suits? Let him buy his own clothes! Congrats!
  12. They still have the Raffle posted on the site, but when you click on the Rules, it says it ended already. I would've joined either way.... but..... "NJ2AS Gun Giveaway (“Sweepstakes”) begins Saturday, September 1, 2019, 12:01 AM EDT, and ends at 11:59 PM EDT on December 31, 2019." https://nj2as.org/sweepstakes-rule/
  13. I suck, I thought I had signed up previously; apparently I was signed up for the emails, but had not joined. I'm now a paid member.
  14. I see that now, since it was posted above. Maybe I shouldn't listen to it while driving....
  15. Thanks. I was going to listen to it on the drive into work, but my phone would not turn off the screen and still play the audio. My phone is mounted to the A-Pillar of my truck, so it is visible from the outside. I suppose I could put the phone in cup holder for the time being. If I can get some privacy I will listen during lunch. Some podcasts are done so poorly I find them difficult to listen too as well.
  16. Thanks, I'll try to carve out some time for it. Is it truly "jaw-dropping" though? The email they sent out didn't have any additional information than what you posted either.
  17. As the Husband of a former small business owner; I have to agree with Greenday here. The possible savior for the LGS' is they also want to make any ammo sale not conducted face to face by a licensed FFL illegal. They might not know reloading exists, since I have not seen them try to outlaw that YET.
  18. Anyone have a text version of the "jaw-dropping opening statement"? I guess I'm old-school enough to still prefer text over videos; I can quickly scan text to filter out the extraneous.
  19. I was skeptical, but there are actually a few that are good. I don't have hopes of them going anywhere, but it is refreshing to see nonetheless.
  20. Another reason for the lefty loonies to hate Americans..... https://nationalfile.com/video-virginia-rally-attendees-pick-trash-up-after-themselves/
  21. Shore Shot once told me it was illegal for them to hold a gun for me while I waited for my permit. I intended to pay full price in advance. Never went back.
  22. Thanks @Mr.Stu I'm looking forward to getting back! Upgrades include better ventilation system I hope?

    You Can Only Have One

Not really. I would absolutely love to have a Military Issue 1911 with provenance to back it up. I accept that the odds of that happening are rather low. I held and dry fired a 100+ yr old Colt 1911 once, glorious. If I bought a new 1911/2011 I figure I'd be in the $1200-$1500 range. Expensive enough to be a quality piece, but not so expensive to be too concerned to take it shooting.
