  1. I was there today as well. Seemed pretty clean except for the garbage cans overflowing. I saw some targets I put in one of the cans last Monday, still stuffed in there today, so no one has emptied the cans in at least a week. I saw a couple of guys picking up after themselves (maybe you Burns?) which was nice.
  2. We are talking about adding an additional requirement to the already ridiculous and right infringing practice of having to get an FPID in the first place. You are seriously telling me that some of you want to add training requirements to it because "it sounds like a good idea"?   We should be fighting the FPID, not trying to add stuff to it? To me, it's as ridiculous as saying although rape is illegal, we're going to pass a law that you need to use a condom during all rapes. We just want to make sure that you are having safe sex while you are brutally abusing someone.

Wow, I had forgotten about Lakewood. I used to have to drive through there back in the mid 90's, about once a month. Its funny, from the sound of it, things haven't changed at all. Maybe even gotten a little worse.
  4. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE ASSHOLES THAT ORCHESTRATED THIS ^^^^^^^^ SHIT-SHOW SHOULD BE FIRED! (Yes, caps was left on intentionally)
  5. I have never understood how lawmakers have the balls to impose any restrictions on law abiding gun owners, when they have not tackled illegal gun ownership. I refuse to even consider any legislation restricting legal gun ownership, until each and every illegal gun is taken off the street. The day these douches get 100% of the criminals to give up their guns, is the day we can have a discussion about me giving up mine.
  6. This sucks. I feel bad for everybody. The owners of Shore Shot have a nightmare on their hands. I'm sure the employees aren't too thrilled to go to work now. And, the customers don't feel safe. I know it hasn't been too long, but anyone hear of what Shore Shot is planning to do (if anything)?
  7. I have an FPID and my own firearms, so I have never had the need/desire to rent. What do you have to do to rent at Shore Shot? FPID? DL? ID? Is it the same/similar to other places you guys have rented from? I'm just curious as to why these people keep going there as opposed to other places. Or is this happening all over and just Shore Shot is getting the publicity.
  8. Bought from a forum member with a classified listing a few weeks ago. Whole thing took about 10 minutes. Showed DL and FPID, filled out COE, paid and left. Done deal and 100% legal.
  9. Honestly guys, I think the odds of getting into trouble are a lot worse than some of you make it out to be. If you get mixed up in a serious crime, no stone will be left unturned. A really persistent prosecutor looking to make a name for themselves, will definitely take a real close look. They might find something, they might not. But, I don't buy the "mountain of unsearchable paperwork" theory. Commit the wrong crime, piss off the wrong prosecutor, or look a certain way, and they will find a way to go through all that paperwork just to get you. Do you guys feel that a free gun is worth that kind of scrutiny? Do you want to bet your freedom on it?
  10. The wife and I will be stopping by on Saturday.
  11. You don't need any education to know that when someone offers you 2 free guns that do not belong to them in the first place, no paperwork or questions asked, YOU SAY NO!
  12. Then there is no way he should have accepted the firearms. Why take the chance of getting locked up for a long time? Just plain stupid.
  13. The only way they can reopen and have even a slim chance of making it is with new owners, a new name, and a new attitude.
  14. After everything that has been said on just this thread alone (lack of customer service, consignment issues, multiple tax issues, etc.), this guy would have the biggest balls in history to reopen the place himself. He isn't going to speak to anyone, including the employees, because any statement he makes is going to be followed by 1000 comments of: "Where's my ____________ mother f*er." a. money b. paycheck c. firearm d. enter your own choice here
  15. Man I hate insurance companies. As much as I would love to see you stick it to them, don't stoop to their level. Pay for it yourself cause its the right thing to do.
  16. Seems like some real bad blood here. Maybe we can forgive and forget? What do you say fellas?
  17. Yea, I'm curious too. I didn't get that one. Did I miss something?
  18. You can put limitations on shipping by creating an exclusion list. Basically you tell them who you don't want to ship to, and they will automatically block those buyers from purchasing your item. So if you don't want to sell to Germany, for instance, they will block German users.
  19. My previous comments posted here were for the previous owner of R&R, Richard. I gave the new owner, Joe, a chance, and I have been satisfied with my experience there.
  20. You are correct. Puerto Rico is a territory OF the United States. Not to be confused with a territory IN the United States. Everyone, including the Puerto Rican who tried to purchase the primers, knew that the OP had no intention of sending these primers to Puerto Rico, Guam, Samoa, or any other territory. The guy was just another jerk trying to game the system.
  21. A contract is null and void if it stipulates that one or both parties must enter into an illegal act. Since the OP believes this may be a felony, and since he has clearly stated in the "contract" that he ships to the U.S. only, and ground only, then he is not responsible to make the transaction.
  22. If you don't feel comfortable shipping something to someone, then don't do it. Better to get a bad mark on an Ebay profile, than a bad cellmate in prison. Even if its perfectly legal to ship these to him, if you don't know his laws, or care to learn them, then you shouldn't be forced to make a transaction you don't feel comfortable with.
  23. You will be fine with the wingmaster. I annihilate clays with the same gun and love it. But, here's some friendly advice. The express shotguns are not as terrible as they once were. I bought 2 different 870 express models this year and have had zero problems. You will not win any beauty contests with them, but you won't get depressed when you ding one up either. Everyone bags on the laminated stock, and yes it is ugly, but it is structurally sound. Where Am I going with this? Being new to shotgunning and clays, I wouldn't rush out and buy anything expensive. The express will teach you speed, focus, and patience, so that when you decide to get that easier to shoot o/u, you will get a huge boost in confidence that will take your shooting to the next level. But, just in case you change your mind later, you will be out very little money. Start out slow, there's plenty of time later to go out and get anything you want.
