I took them out and measured the metal tube. It measures 28.5 inches. No ones sells that size online its either 28" or 29" what do i do??

This ones a 4" 686-4 in like new condition...Seller had it sitting in his safe since the early 90's. Thanks again for all your help NJGF peeps
  11. it was....but worth it. getting the factory rail off was a bitch i had to hit it with a torch to loosen up the screws
  12. totally agree that rail makes it much more practical. The lever gun is a Marlin 1895 SBL in 45-70. Bought it because my kids were watching Jurrasic World and Chris Pratt used it to slay some dinos...Kids thought it was a pretty cool gun. Its fun to shoot. I like it
  13. only upgraded the trigger, stock and added the extended rail...i cant leave things stock i need projects to keep me busy lol
  14. ding ding ding weeeee got a winner!
  15. Must have been a great time to be a gun owner. I was not born until 79' i missed out on all the good ol days
  16. Built this a little while back. Had to post for @Zeke Ive only shot it a handful of times. Have not had much time to head out to the family farm to stretch it out but it produces one hole 3 shot groups at 100. Tier One did an excellent job putting this together. Only thing i might still do is bed the lug per Mikes recommendation. Remington 700 SA 308 Timney Calvin Elite Trigger Manners Mini Chasis Stock w/ EFR Badger recoil lug pinned Badger DBM Bartlein MTU Barrel 22" 5r 1:11.25 twist badger bolt handle spiral fluted bolt Atlas bi-pod Surefire brake Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP Seekins 20 MOA base Burris Extreme Tactical Rings
  17. Ive been in Warren since 1990. Where was this??
  18. It’s not entirely true. You can cut off the flash hider if you know what your doing or hire someone who knows. I would recommend mike at Tier one but he’s way out of your way. I think he charges $50 to remove and install the new one pinned and welded. I’m sure someone local can do the same thing if you found something you liked with the shorter barrel.
