  1. Only if he acquired them as a resident of Florida, otherwise FFL and permits for each handgun.
  2. If you place the pin in the stock right you can drill holes at each notch, then just push the pin out to reposition. For the muzzle device, drill a 1/8" hole and tap in a $0.45 1/8" roll pin from Lowes. File/grind down the excess and put a tack weld on it. The only thing you have to watch for is drilling through the barrel, as long as you go 1/6 to 1/8" deep you should be fine. Also, I've been using a Special Ops Tactical lower with zero issues, looks like a rebranded Spikes.
  3. My P220 is combat hold. Always shoot low switching from other pistols.
  4. I "hide in plain sight". You can buy some decent sub compact 9's and place them throughout the house. Be smart and keep your mouth shut where they are, besides your wife obviously. I'm not a fan of those mirrors with the magnet lock gizmos. A hinged picture or holster screwed under a drawer works for me. I also put boxes of ammo in locked pistol cases. lol
  5. Every time I buy a "range bag" I out grow it. Now I buy cheapo pistol soft cases and put everything in a back pack.
  6. How is bringing a handgun into a police station for inspection illegal following NJ's guidelines of transport? You can spin it however you'd like, but replacing "manufacture" with "legally obtained" probably won't cut it in a courtroom. If anyone has the want to do an 80% it's me, but the risk isn't worth the reward IMO.
  7. Didnt think Id have to dumb it down.....but the point is, if you are so confident that finishing a 80%-whatever is perfectly legal, you should be able to prove it.
  8. Yes, because I didn't fab it in a campground in PA.
  9. Have at it. Bring it to the NJSP barracks and let me know how you make out.
  10. I think they'll get you on who the "manufacturer" is, no legitimate business and address stamped on the receiver, etc. Until I read that is is "ok" to do a 80%, I'm going to assume it's not judging by what is already written.
  11. You're missing the key word "resident".
  12. I assume if you are a nj resident and acquire/build the pistol out of state you would have to transfer it, use p2p.
  13. Dont see what the big deal is, pretty sure the OP knows what "caveat emptor" means.
  14. One of our local stores was blowing out old stock for $10/case. My wife came home with 2 cases and told me about the sale, I sent her back for a couple more cases and IIRC she brought home like another 10-12 cases. Out of that 100+ bottles there were maybe 10 I would buy again. You can get some nice wines for $10/bottle. Usually once or twice a week I forgo our typical brands and just pick a few at random. Actually had good results that way and found some new standbys.
  15. I've purchased off GB without permits. Just make arrangements with your FFL, they know the rigamarol we deal with in NJ. Just be 100% sure you can get a permit.
  16. If the casings eject fine sometimes it should eliminate the ejector. I'd look at binding in the extractor pivot or recoil spring/rod.
  17. Did they receive the questionnaire from the town?
  18. 40 days isn't so bad IMO. I've waited 30 days once, then other times a coupla months. Contact your references and make sure they sent in the paperwork and what date, then call your local PD with that info.
  19. Did you apply for your FID and a P2P at the same time or did you already have your FID?
  20. Then it must boil down to setup because mine draws an audience at the range.
  21. I couldn't imagine firing my AR in close quarters. It's deafening enough with doubled up ear protection, probably blow out those windows on it's own.
  22. Have you studied the rim of a spent case that did not extract? Did it look like it took extra effort to extract?
