Just a thought. Why not go to a range and try / rent the calibers before you spend your money on something you don't like. You might not like the .40 and might really like the .45. It's a few dollars more but at least you might not buy Something you might not enjoy and sell it for less then you paid.

1st time starting a topic, hope its in the right place and OK. This happened in November, just released cell phone video. They talked about a good Samaritan in Florida that saved a deputy's life that was pinned to the ground with a gun on him by shooting the bad guy. They said he was licensed to carry and would not face any charges. If this was NJ the deputy could have been as good as gone. Proof that law abiding citizens with concealed carry is a good thing. Amazing the media said a good thing about a legal gun owner.

Most will hold it, I've puchased twice while waiting. Was only asked that I pay for it in full so that the FFL it was purchased from wasn't out the money for a long period. Most times if bought on line it's already paid for so they are just holding it.

Depends on where you are..I've waited 45 days and have waited 3 months. Also have heard of horror stories of 6 months or longer

I have the glock, but really like the VP9, just fits me better, heard the Walther PPQ M2 is very similar to the VP9 but with a better trigger Haven't tried it yet.

I haven't joined yet, but went up there myself to look around. As old school said, I just drove up announced my self, they open the gate and was free to look around all the area's and speak to the RO and some of the patrons. Nice place, will probably sign up in the spring, like the idea of being able to shoot outdoors.

Have been a member of the forum for a while, have learned some things, thanks to all, and have read some interesting topics. Hope to eventually chime in. Try to get to range 3 times a month, would like to go more but have time constraints (work and kids) one of my sons does go with me. Current range choice HK-VP9. Also a Beretta & Sig fan. BTW, Taylor ham.
