    SNOW PICS

Weather forecasters take Murphy out behind the woodshed for blaming them for the poor response by NJ DOT and snow removal. Bill Karins ✔ @BillKarins @govmurphy much of NJ was in 2-4” forecast range for a burst of heavy snow right before rush hour then sleet on top. State should have been prepared anyways. Most NJ ended in 4-8” range. Gary Szatkowski, the former head of the National Weather Service's Mount Holly office, said that although some of the snowfall numbers ended up greater than forecast, nearly every meteorologist said days before that the Thursday evening commute would be dangerous due to a combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain. "So whether you got 8 inches of snow with a little sleet and freezing rain, or 4 inches of snow with a boatload of sleet/freezing rain, NJDOT planning would have produced the same result for NJ drivers," he wrote. "You were screwed. And now they are trying to trick you." https://www.app.com/story/news/new-jersey/2018/11/16/snowstorm-nj-2018-phil-murphy-gives-storm-update/2022987002/

    SNOW PICS

I just saw a tail end of a news conference with Gov. Bucktooth. That's exactly what he did, he blamed the weathermen. "We were only suppose to get 4" or so, but by lunchtime we realized it was going to be more". WTF idiot... Jersey gets snow EVERY Winter. EVERY storm is unpredictable... Murphy can't get his "people" ready and prepared for all situations, then screws up transportation for the top half of the state?? Really?? But those 15 round mags... that's a priority...
  3. Maks, thanks for posting the link, I picked up some 223 too. Some of us appreciate others passing on the info they see on good deals..... some others, not so much...
  4. I was joking, lighten up.. you think I would say "hey, that guy Griz on the forum said it was OK to store these 15 round mags in with my stilettos in the closet"? Similar to this?
  5. If I remember the story correctly, wasn't his mother worried he might commit suicide and that's why she call the LEOs? Then, apparently they had probable cause to search? I agree, considering the availability of blocked and pinned mags, if they searched just based on model, that might open up a BIG can of worms.
  6. I don't, and there's only been less than a handful arrested for having them in conjunction of doing something else unlawful. But, there's TONS of fear by many that think they're next. Wow, someone really gets cranky this late at night. I think you'll see plenty of 10+ mags at the ranges come Dec. 11th, Dec 20th, Dec. 28th, Jan 3, etc., so worrying if SWAT will be kicking in doors is slim to none. Once Murphy's Brown Coats start dragging out patrons from ranges in cuffs, then I'll be concerned.
  7. Actually, I was at the range today, and with the grace period approaching in a few weeks, I was wondering if they would be posting any notices or warnings or doing any checking of mags. Nothing was posted and the ROs weren't asking.
  8. Yeah, I know he was busted, out of how many thousands of 15+ mags that exist in the state right now and were being used? There's probably a better chance of getting hit by lightening or winning the lottery.
  9. Yeah, it's pretty amazing the hundreds of people who got busted with those 15+ round mags the last decade or so... Oh, wait, that didn't happen. So, are you saying I can hide my existing 15 round mags in a shoe box in my closet and not worry about the black SUVs and SWAT Team showing up, kicking in my door, shooting my dog and arresting me for 10+ round mags come Dec. 11th?
  10. From the Email Today: U.S. COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE THIRD CIRCUIT WANTS DO-OVER ARGUMENT ON MAG BAN APPEAL November 15, 2018. Even though counsel for both sides thoroughly argued the magazine ban appeal before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit yesterday, in a highly unusual event the Court contacted counsel late yesterday and requested re-argument of the exact same appeal on Tuesday, November 20 at 10 AM in Philadelphia. There was apparently a problem with the official recording of yesterday's oral argument, and a new hearing is needed so it can be properly recorded. Gun owners are invited to attend the do-over oral argument before the Third Circuit. The address is: James A. Byrne United States Courthouse, 601 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. Anybody going to the hearing to hear what the attorneys will be saying???

    SNOW PICS

No snow here in regular South Jersey. Just rain, we went to the range and just got a little wet. And, the rain scared everyone away, we almost had the place to ourselves. But, I wish these old farts would get the hell off the road if they're afraid to drive in the rain.
  12. Ha Ha Ha Yep... Makes you want to rush and immediately post other deals that pop up in the future, right? Interesting.
  13. First, how would they know it wasn't going on a AR, when it's designed and sold to go on an AR. Do you expect them to live in your house and know this? The law in NJ is no adjustable stocks for ARs, they were abiding by the law. So, they offered you a solution that wouldn't break the law. The problem is??? So what, who cares. If they ship to NJ, it has to be NJ compliant. Seems clear enough. Do you act the same way when they refuse to sell you 30 round mags?
  14. Don't count on that.. They've been using the term "assault weapons" for quite a while and have been inserting it in other bills. They don't care if it's accurate or not. Until they get push back from a Conservative judge (which AIN'T going to happen), they'll just continue to use it as a "catch all" term. And the 2A community will continue to bend over and take it in the shorts and never push back. What this bill does is makes ALL parts and kits for AR's illegal (complete uppers, and every add on component), It's the next step to a complete semi-auto ban. Forget about building anything if this passes. Expect this type of bullshit to be ejected out of the House every month for the next two years. You ain't seen nothin' yet...
  15. Exactly, but it seems that we have a bunch of Democrats on the board that want to limit a person's 1A rights while supporting the 2A. Just a bit hypocritical, don't you think? Every item sold across the country (cars, houses, appliances, guns, etc, or generators or cases of water during a storm) are subject to price gouging. It's up to the individual to determine what they're willing to pay. That's call Capitalism... You're FREE to buy it, or not. What do you say to the people who paid upwards of $2,000 for an AR post Sandy Hook when you can buy a AR for $400 now? Did they get gouged, or was it supply and demand? If you're buying items blind, and not doing your own due diligence on pricing, then what ever happens to you is on YOU. Sometimes I think some of you guys are closet Socialist and Communists.....
  16. @SJG Go edit your OP, it's full of jibberish after your paragraph. That was the purpose of the grace period. To give everyone time to modify, transfer or dispose of the 15 rounders. I believe swapping them for 10 rounders before Dec. 10th would be OK. ....."a person who legally owns a semi-automatic rifle with a fixed magazine capacity exceeding 10 rounds or a large capacity ammunition magazine as defined under subsection y. of N.J.S.2C:39-1 which is capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition on the effective date of P.L. , c. (C. ) (pending before the Legislature as this bill) may retain possession of that rifle or magazine for a period not to exceed 180 days 1[from] after1 the effective date of this act. During this time period, the owner of the semi-automatic rifle or magazine shall: a. Transfer the semi-automatic rifle or magazine to any person or firm lawfully entitled to own or possess that firearm or magazine;
  17. I'll make sure I type a lot s l o w e r next time, as to not confuse you.
  18. ..... "Hulk pit bull puppies, if also trained to be elite protection dogs, could fetch up to $55,000 per pup." Wow, the Level 3 dog (not a Pit) I almost bought was going to be around $20K. What the hell do you get for $55K. Does the dog do the laundry, dishes and cook for you too?
  19. Wow... rough crowd... You guys just have bad luck, or maybe it's that dark cloud that follows all you guys around. I've ordered a bunch of things from CTD (mags, accessories, optics, etc.) over the years and NEVER had a issue. So all I can say is:
  20. OK, what I thought you had was a transmitter with a male plug that could be plugged into the earphone jack of the tablet. So, just go get a cheap tablet, copy the MP3s from the thumb drive to the tablet, then stream the music through Bluetooth to that receiver, just like you do now with your phone.

  22. In this state??? Anything is possible. I know I was reaching in my comment, but trying to think out of the box, and make the politicians wake up and feel OUR pain. Hey, at least I'm thinking.... has anyone else here come with a better idea, or are they just sitting here whining? You know the answer to that last question.
