  1. Wait.. are you admitting you drive a Caravan?? What does your hubby drive? Only kidding.... I had a Caravan for many years, one of the most universal vehicles. Hauled demonstration equipment for work, hauled the kids and dog, hauled camping equipment and Boy Scouts, hauled furniture and cabinets, even hauled 4x8 sheets of plywood and 8 foot 2x4s... inside with the hatch closed.
  2. Here's a good description comparing a short term disruption (like from a storm) versus what's going on now with supply shortages. There's a difference... Temporary Empty Shelves Are Not a Supply Chain Crisis, It Is Important to Understand the Difference ...."Unfortunately, there is a lot of wrong information being discussed and shared. Even reputable regional media are giving inaccurate information, making wrong interpretations {LINK}, and generally getting the explanations wrong. Additionally, there’s general misinterpretations of ordinary outages based on the day of the week (Sunday) and bad weather in the Northeast {ex Twitter Thread}. An empty retail shelf or case for a 24, 36 to 48-hour period is not, I repeat, NOT, part of a systemic supply chain disruption. Those are mostly location and regional specific out of stock situations caused by localized events, weather and employee shortages. What CTH has been describing for the past several months is NOT what is noted above. What we have been describing is a long term supply chain crisis that will slowly unfold over a period of about a week or two, and then remain a problem over time, for a period of 6+ months. {GO DEEP} https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/01/09/temporary-empty-shelves-are-not-a-supply-chain-crisis-it-is-important-to-understand-the-difference/
  3. I had both, the 3.3 and the 3.8. Definitely good engines... Now, on the other hand, the transmissions....
  4. It looks like the Nationwide problems will turn into Worldwide problems, since the world is hooked on cheap crap from China. Global Economy Heading For "Mother Of All" Supply Chain Shocks As China Locks Down Ports With sailing schedules already facing delays of about a week, freight forwarders warn of the impact on already back-logged gateways in Europe and the US and is also why HSBC economists are warning that the world economy could be headed for the “mother of all” supply chain shocks if the highly infectious omicron variant which is already swamping much of the global economy spreads across Asia, especially China, at which point disruption to manufacturing will be inevitable. "Temporary, one would hope, but hugely disruptive all the same" in the next few months, they wrote in a research note this week first noted by Bloomberg. But what until recently was a minority view confined to our modest website, has since expanded and as Bloomberg writes overnight, the effects of restrictions in China as the country maintains its Covid-zero policy "are starting to hit supply chains in the region." As a result of the slow movement of goods through some of the country’s busiest and most important ports means shippers are now diverting to Shanghai, causing the types of knock-on delays at the world’s biggest container port that led to massive congestion bottlenecks last summer that eventually translated into a record number of container ships waiting off the coast of California, a glut that hasn't been cleared to this day. https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/global-economy-heading-mother-all-supply-chain-shocks-china-locks-down-ports
  5. Do you have a iPhone? That's one well trained truck!!
  6. Wow... how do you get your truck to balance on it's bumper like that?
  7. What fun is that? Go big or go home. Yeah, buy the cans that aren't dented.
  8. That's one of the few things I buy in cans... and sauerkraut and dog food.... Remember, men are from Mars, women are from Venus.
  9. Exactly. When you go to your FFL and give him your FID number, he looks it up and uses one of your permits. After you complete your purchase, you'll get a email stating you used one of the permits.
  10. LOL Who knew, a ten year old truck would turn into an expensive collector's item??
  11. You and Tex need to be quicker... I'm going to stop sharing my best jokes with you guys..
  12. Very good... you're paying attention.... here's your cookie...
  13. They do bathroom remodels? I thought they just sell clothes, and cheap household products from China?
  14. What about this, from the Byrna stable. It's their TCR, Tactical Compact Rifle? One step up from the pistol. I saw a press release that Spokane PD bought 200 of them. Also wondering if their stock would be a "buy" now, it's down from the high during the Summer. If the direction of the economy, mandates and other issues continue in the country, will civil unrest ramp up, increasing the interest in "less-lethal". Their stock symbol is: BYRN
  15. Wait... are you saying the information he's getting from CNN and MSDNC isn't accurate?
  16. Your only other option is to spread it out around the house, and not keep in all in one place or closet. This way, in case of a fire, there's a chance the fire can be contained in one area (and hopefully not the closet all your ammo is stored in).
  17. Being prepared isn't a single point on a map. It's a journey and a destination.
  18. and a extra mag pouch. Keep in mind, a generator running during a power outage attracts a LOT of attention, when it's dead quiet in the neighborhood. Not to mention a house lit up, when all the others are dark... I wish I had a nickel for every time a person told me they went to start their battery start generator or snow blower, but the battery was dead. Most forget to keep that battery charged. Which is why I go with the KISS system...
  19. It was also like experiencing The Night of the Living Dead. Even wifey noticed the Zombies walking around. Seriously wondering if all those disgusting masks they're wearing is impeding oxygen flow to their brains?
  20. Sniper

    How much cash

Lock the doors... problem solved! me too....
  21. That's what I'm thinking. I was in Walmart by me today, checking out the landscape. Majority of people back in masks again.
  22. This is showing up in more and more mainstream sources, and the prediction is, we don't hit Peak Omicron for another few weeks. ....."Empty shelves have returned at supermarkets as grocery employees call out sick and truckloads of food arrive late. Shares of major grocers including Albertsons, Kroger and Walmart fell Tuesday. Albertsons shares fell 9.75% to $28.79 at market close, after the company detailed the supply chain challenges and inflated costs it’s seeing on its earnings call. Grocery store workers are feeling the effects of omicron, too. Samantha Webster helps replenish coolers with butter, gallons of milk and more as dairy manager of a Safeway store in the San Francisco Bay Area. Safeway is owned by Albertsons. Since early December, she said more and more employees have had to take off from work because of getting Covid or having close contact with someone who is sick. She said 15 employees are currently out of the store’s nearly 60-person staff. Fewer pallets are arriving from Safeway’s warehouses and there are not enough grocery workers to help unload them, she said. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/01/11/empty-grocery-shelves-return-as-sick-employees-supply-chain-delays-collide.html
  23. Consider yourself lucky. Apparent the old people don't want to venture out of Crestwood Village: WASHINGTON, D.C. – Empty shelves and thinning groceries and drug supplies are reminiscent of March 2020, Washington, D.C., shoppers told Fox News Digital. "It's like a Soviet store during 1981. It's horrible," one man said. "Honestly, it looks like March of 2020, when everybody was stockpiling and the shelves were bare," another man, Dominic, told Fox News Digital. "It's just a domino effect. I mean, just complete total domino effect," Dominic said. "It's kind of scary." Larry, another D.C. shopper, told Fox News: "Whatever it is, I know they need to hurry up and get this straightened out because people will be starving. It's going to get rough if it keeps on continuing like that." Multiple shoppers rattled off a litany of groceries they couldn't find, ranging from milk to beverages to produce. "Everything, meat, egg, dairy, certain breads were out, most vegetables, it was all fresh items," one man said as he left a Giant grocery store. https://www.foxnews.com/us/shoppers-astounded-empty-shelves
