My initial application only had my qualify gun on it. I just went up to the PD and added 3 more. All my carry size guns except for the expensive ones for a total of 4.

I lived in NY most of my life. The whole state is controlled by maybe 3 areas. If you’re a conservative you mostly have no voice in state elections. The policies are set at the state level. Local is a different story. I grew up in Manhattan and lived in Staten Island (the last conservative stronghold in the city) and even that is changing. In this state everyone is bitching about Murphy, yet voter turnout was piss poor. People have to get off their lazy asses and vote. If you don’t vote, don’t bitch.

There are a lot of gun owners in this state. They have to get out there and vote in the local elections. People dismiss the local elections because they think they're not important. Local politicians are the ones who set the state policies. We have to get more republicans in state offices to keep things in check. Until people wise up, we're screwed. Even the last Gov race was a piss poor turn out.

I'm on day 49 for my CCW and it only takes me 14 days to get my P2P's. Can't make sense out of any of this crap.

I clean after every range trip. It gives me a chance to make sure there's no damage to any part of the gun.

I went up to the PD about 2 weeks ago to make sure they had everything they needed. They were very good about it and actually checked my file. She told me that the officer still had to call my references. I also received calls from Holmdel for 2 friends of mine. So some do call. This is for CCW not P2P.

Great work. I've had handguns for the past eight years all approved by the same town. I get my permits in an average of 2 weeks, and I have quite a few, yet I'm on day 45 for my CCW. They haven't even called my references yet. There's no reasoning for the way they operate. It's a gun friendly town, but for some reason as far as CCW's go, it's a whole different animal.

I'm at 43 days now. Went up to the PD last week and said they still have to get in touch with my references and everything else was in order. They were very nice about it, but c'mon. All of my many P2P's were done in basically 2 weeks. Finally got it. 52 days in total.

Stopped by the PD today to ask in person. Officer said I was good to go just waiting to get in touch with my references. They were very accommodating. But, It's been 5 1/2 weeks, what's the delay?

I'm now at 5 1/2 weeks. Left a message with local PD asking if they needed any more info from me for any reason. NO REPLY! They've been very quick with P2P's (14 days), but can't figure this one out. It's basically the same background check.
