MedicYeti 96 Posted July 13, 2010 Scott:I have the field tactical in 12 ga. It has an 18.5 inch barrel and holds 5+1 in 2 3/4 inch shells. This one? http://www.impactguns.com/store/092786729718.html No mine has a standard stock, not a pistol grip. It also has a front sight post, no rear sight. No chokes. Scottcba1 8 Posted July 28, 2010 Being new to shotguns I have to ask a silly question. Can I shot slugs with this gun? Didnt know if the breecher on the end of the barrel would make a difference with the slugs from buckshot. Any help is greatly appreciated! -Scott

MedicYeti 96 Posted July 28, 2010 Typically speaking you can shoot slugs. Use a wider choke (modified or improved cylinder). Avoid full cylinder or turkey chokes.
Scottcba1 8 Posted July 31, 2010 The breech end screws down into the barrel about three inches. I believe this is similar to a choke but as I mentioned before I am not familiar with shotguns. Just wanted to check if slugs were ok with this setup. The manual says the CD shotguns are ok to shoot slugs through but the manual isnt model specific. Any help is appreciated guys!! -Scott 8-)
