OceanTactical 0 Posted March 16, 2010 we have been selling them in store like HOTCAKES. I don't care for plastic mag. Only 1 included but you can't beat price. Get it from Davidsons and guaranteed for life. dave
Scottcba1 8 Posted March 17, 2010 Anyone have any experience shooting this gun? I have been looking at them online for a while now and am very interested. Think a colt 1911(or any brand for that matter) 45cal. slide w/ barrel can be used for a conversion? -Scott
OceanTactical 0 Posted March 17, 2010 No, Cannot convert these. If you are thinking conversion, Just buy the real thing and a 22 conversion. Chiappa is made only for 22L.
RedWhiteNBoltAction 0 Posted March 17, 2010 alright. ive seen some prices on these ranging from 250-300$. i understand that lower end firearms tend to jam more . does this apply to the Chiappa 1911-22? im trying to get a bearing on how this gun compares to the colt or springfield 1911's
OceanTactical 0 Posted March 17, 2010 Believe me if you are in the market for a 1911. Go for the COLT first. However for a plinking gun the chiappa is fine. But that is all it is!!!.
OceanTactical 0 Posted March 17, 2010 We have been selling for 299.+tax and Nics.
jruch87 6 Posted March 23, 2010 Buddy of mine has one and ive shot it quite a bit. There is absolutely no possibility of converting to .45 as it has a fixed barrel. Its a fairly accurate gun and its reliable is what i would consider acceptable for a semi auto rimfire. We usually shoot the cheap bulk ammo and will get a stove pipe every few mags. This is a $250 gun so you cant expect too much from it but its a fun gun it serves no purpose other then the range. If your looking for a semi-auto 22 pistol I'd recommend it if your going for something on the 1911 platform look somewhere else as this is only a 1911 in appearance not function. njluger 5 Posted March 23, 2010 Pretty sure the barrel on these is fixed to the frame, so forget about converting "up" to a centerfire caliber.
