Exemption to One-a-Month Pistol Purchase

I downloaded the exemption to one a month handgun purchase application recently from the State Police website, filled it out &, as required, gave it to my local PD to forward it to the State Police for their (hopeful) approval. Then, as I was told, they will send it back to my local PD so that I will be able to purchase the (3) handguns listed without having to wait. This was new to my PD (Jackson Township). So, we'll see how it works out. Has anyone else utilized this exemption? I found out about it from Cheyanne Mtn. Outfitters awhile back because a nice lady their who I deal w/ informed me of it.

I've done it (SP-016). It took 30 days, as it was the first in the state. Hopefully yours will be quicker. The form needs to be updated already, as the applicant's mailing address is in a different Municipality than the issuing authority. They sent the form back to the wrong jurisdiction. :roll:

Sorry to hear about your hassle, PK90! I called the State Police & asked them how long it takes & they said it should be quick but... Obviously, if it takes a month, it's self-defeating. But like you said, hopefully mine w/ be faster.
