Sig CPO guns.

Does any one know who has a good selection on sig certified pre-owned pistols.I really want a 226 but dont want to spend the 8-9 hundred on a new one . If I could get one for around 550-600 I would do it,

My brother has a 226 or a 229 pre loved Sig... I think he may be selling it if you are interested.

As someone already pointed out, Top Gun Supply is one of your best bets. Sig tends to favor their biggest retailers with the CPO's - not only because they move product, but also because they can afford to buy a lot of product at once.

 

Sig does not necessarily want to be in the "used gun" business, so if they do a large police trade-in, they want to process the guns as a lot and move them as a lot. Not many dealers have that kind of buying power. You will often find CPO's being sold at Big Box stores (Bass Pro, Cabelas etc) during special promotions. Bass Pro used to move them at $50 over cost during some of their promos.

 

So TGS or a Big Box during a big promotion are your best bets. Not to say that a few onesy and twosey's don't find their way to regular dealers - and again, those that move product are more likely to be favored.

 

Sig is direct with most of their dealers, but for the smaller guy, they do deal with wholesale distributors. Used to be RSR and Sports South, not sure that that info is current, but being distributors they may also buy CPO's in quantity.

 

I guess ultimately what I'm saying is go very big or very small or a high turnover direct dealer.
